Welcome to the study of authentic hadith selected by ULYAH. Let's look at some of the following sayings of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam, one by one, with an open heart to put them into practice. 1st Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، أَنَّ سَعْدَ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God bless you. عِنْدَنَا وَلَكِنْ أَدْنَى الْوِتْرِ ثَلاَثٌ .. It has been told to me from Malik from [Ibn Shihab] that [Sa'ad bin Abu Waqash] prayed the Witr prayer one rak'ah after Isha'. Malik said; "This is not what we practice. In our opinion, the minimum wirit prayer is three rak'ahs (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 274.) 2nd hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهْ وتر صلاة النهار . قال مالك من أوتر أول الليل ثم نام ثم قام فبدا له أن يصلي فليصل مثنى مثنى فهو أحب ما سمعت إلى . It has been told to me from Malik from [Abdullah bin Dinar] that [Abdullah bin Umar] said; "Maghrib prayer is the witr of the daytime prayer (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 275.) 3rd Hadith. God willing God bless you God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. فَقَالَ لِخَادِمِهِ انْظُرْ مَا صَنَعَ النَّاسُ . وَهُوَ يَوْمَئِذٍ قَدْ ذَهَبَ بَصَرُهُ . فَذَهَبَ الْخَادِمُ ثُمَّ رَجَعَ فَقَالَ قَدِ انْصَرَفَ النَّاسُ مِنَ الصُّبْحِ . فَقَامَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبَّاسٍ فَأَوْتَرَ ثُمَّ صَلَّى الصُّبْحَ .. Yahya told me from Malik from [Abdul Karim bin Abu Al Mukhariq Al Bashri] from [Sa'id bin Jubair], that [Abdullah bin 'Abbas] slept and then woke up. Then he said to his servant; "Look what man has done -at that time he was blind-." The servant then left, and after returning, the servant said; "People have finished their morning prayers." Abdullah bin Abbas stood up for the witr prayer then the morning prayer (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 276.) 4th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ God willing God willing .. It has been told to me from Malik from [Hisyam bin Urwah] from [his father] that [Abdullah bin Mas'ud] said; "I don't care even if the morning iqamat is said, I will still pray the witr prayer (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 278.) 5th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ كَانَ عُبَادَةُ بْنُ الصَّامِتِ يَؤُمُّ قَوْمًا فَخَرَجَ يَوْمًا إِلَى الصُّبْحِ فَأَقَامَ الْمُؤَذِّنُ صَلاَةَ الصُّبْحْ بِهِمُ الصُّبْحَ .. Having told me from Malik from [Yahya bin Sa'id] he said; "[Ubadah bin Shamit] was the imam of a people. One day, he went out to pray the morning prayer. The Muaddzin then said the iqamat, then Ubadah stopped his iqamah until he prayed the witr prayer. After that he prayed the morning prayer with them (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 279.) 6th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. God bless you God bless you. God bless you. الرَّحْمَنِ أَىَّ ذَلِكَ قَالَ .. Has told me from Malik from [Abdurrahman bin Al Qasim] he said; I have heard [Abdullah bin 'Amir bin Rabi'ah] say; "I will continue to pray witr when I hear the iqamat or after dawn." Abdurrahman doubted which one Abdullah bin Amru said (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 280.) 7th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing يَقُولُ إِنِّي لأُوتِرُ بَعْدَ الْفَجْرِ . قَالَ مَالِكٌ وَإِنَّمَا يُوتِرُ بَعْدَ الْفَجْرِ مَنْ نَامَ عَنِ الْوِتْرِ وَلاَ يَنْبَغِي لأَحَدٍ أَنْ يَتَعَمَّدَ ذَلِكَ حَتَّى يَضَعَ وِتْرَهُ بَعْدَ الْفَجْرِ .. Has told me from Malik from [Abdurrahman bin Al Qasim] he heard his father [Al Qasim bin Muhammad] say; "I still pray witr even after dawn (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 281.) 8th Hadith. God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing وسلم كَانَ إِذَا سَكَتَ الْمُؤَذِّنُ عَنِ الأَذَانِ لِصَلاَةِ God willing تُقَامَ الصَّلاَةُ .. Yahya has told me from Malik from [Nafi'] from [Abdullah bin Umar], that [Hafshah] the wife of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam informed him, that "When the muaddzin has finished saying the morning call to prayer, then before the iqamah is said the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam prays two rak'ahs of light prayer (Degree: sahih. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 282.) 9th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، أَنَّ God willing God willing رَكْعَتَىِ الْفَجْرَ God. It has been told to me Malik from [Yahya bin Sa'id] that [Aisyah] the wife of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, said; "Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam eased two rakats at dawn, until I wondered, 'Did he read the Ummul Qur'an (Al Fatihah) or not (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 283.) 10th Hadith. God willing God willing God bless you صَلُّونَ فَخَرَجَ عَلَيْهِمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings مَعًا " . وَذَلِكَ فِي صَلاَةِ الصُّبْحِ فِي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ اللَّتَيْنِ قَبْلَ الصُّبْحِ .. Has told me from Malik from [Syarik bin Abdullah bin Abu Namr] from [Abu Salamah bin Abdurrahman] he said; "A people heard iqomat, then they got up to pray. Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam met them and asked: "Are there two prayers at the same time, are there two prayers at the same time?" This happened regarding the morning prayer and the two rak'ahs before dawn (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 284.) 11th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ God willing مِثْلَ الَّذِي صَنَعَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ .. It has been told to me from Malik that it has reached him, that Abdullah bin Umar once missed two rakats at dawn, then he made up for them after sunrise. It has been told to me from Malik from [Abdurrahman bin Al Qasim] from [Al Qasim bin Muhammad], that he did what Ibn Umar did (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 286.) 12th Hadith. God willing اللَّهِ بْنْ قَالَ " صَلاَةُ الْجَمَاعَةِ تَفْضُلُ صَلاَةَ الْفَذِّ بِسَبْعٍ وَعِشْرِينَ دَرَجَةً " .. Yahya has told me from Malik from [Nafi'] from [Abdullah bin Umar], that Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Praying in congregation is twenty-seven degrees better than praying alone (Degrees: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 287.) 13th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ God bless you may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. وَعِشْرِينَ جُزْءًا " .. It has been related to me from Malik from [Ibn Shihab] from [Sa'id bin Musayyab] from [Abu Hurairah] that the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Praying in congregation is twenty-five parts more important than praying one of you alone (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 288.) 14th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنِ God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings هَمَمْتُ أَنْ آمُرَ بِحَطَبٍ فَيُحْطَبَ ثُمَّ آمُرَ God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings بُيُوتَهُمْ. It has been related to me from Malik from [Abu Az Zinad] from [Al A'raj] from [Abu Hurairah] that the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "By the One in Whose Hands my soul is. Indeed, I really want to order someone to collect firewood, then I order someone to recite the adhan, then the iqmah is recited. After that I order someone to be the imam for people, while I went to some men, so that I could burn down their houses. By the One in Whose Hands my soul is, if only one of them knew that they would get a fat goat bone (lots of meat left), or two delicious ribs, he would surely follow the Isha prayer (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 289.) 15th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ أَبِي النَّضْرِ، مَوْلَى عُمَرَ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ بُسْرِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، أَنَّ زَيْدَ بْنَ ثَابِتٍ، قَالَ أَفْضَلُ الصَّلاَةِ صَلاَتُكُمْ فِي بُيُوتِكُمْ إِلاَّ صَلاَةَ الْمَكْتُوبَةِ .. It has been told to me from Malik from [Abu Nadlr] the former slave of Umar bin Ubaidullah, from [Busr bin Sa'id] from [Zaid bin Thabit] said; "The best of your prayers is the one you do at home, except for the obligatory prayers (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 290.) 16th Hadith. God willing God bless you may Allah bless him and give him peace of mind " بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَ الْمُنَافِقِينَ شُهُودُ الْعِشَاءِ وَالصُّبْحِ لاَ يَسْتَطِيعُونَهُمَا " . أَوْ نَحْوَ هَذَا .. Yahya has told me from Malik from [Abdurrahman bin Harmalah Al-Aslami] from [Sa'id bin Musayyab] that Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "(The difference) between us and the hypocrites is attending evening and morning prayers. They cannot perform them." or with other pronunciations such as (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 291.) 17th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ سُمَىٍّ، مَوْلَى أَبِي بَكْرِ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing "" God willing عَلَى الطَّرِيقَ لَهُ " . وَقَالَ " الشُّهَدَاءُ خَمْسَةٌ الْمَطْعُونُ وَالْمَبْطُونُ وَالْغَرِقُ وَصَاحِبُ الْهَدْمُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ " . وَقَالَ " لَوْ يَعْلَمُ God willing يَجِدُوا إِلاَّ أَنْ يَسْتَهِمُوا عَلَيْهِ لاَسْتَهَمُوا وَلَوْ يَعْلَمُونَ مَا فِي التَّهْجِيرِ لاَسْتَبَقُوا God willing لأَتَوْهُمَا وَلَوْ حَبْوًا " .. It has been related to me from Malik from [Sumayya] the slave of Abu Bakr bin Abdurrahman, from [Abu Salih] from [Abu Hurairah] that the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "When a man was walking along a road, suddenly he came across a thorn, so he picked it up and got rid of it. So Allah thanked him and forgave him his sins." He said again: "There are four kinds of martyrdom: people who die because of the ta'un plague, people who die because of stomach ailments, people who die from drowning, people who die because of rubble and people who die because they fight in the way of Allah." He then continued his words: "If people knew the reward that is in the call to prayer and the first row, then they could not get it except by drawing lots, they would surely fight over the lottery. If they knew the reward for quickly attending congregational prayers, they would surely race towards it. And if they knew the reward for evening and morning prayers, they would surely come to it even on all fours (Derajat: sahih. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 292.) 18th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ أَبِي God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing السُّوقِ - وَمَسْكَنُ سُلَيْمَانَ بَيْنَ السُّوقِ love God bless you فَقَالَتْ إِنَّهُ بَاتَ يُصَلِّي فَغَلَبَتْهُ عَيْنَاهُ . فَقَالَ عُمَرُ لأَنْ أَشْهَدَ صَلاَةَ الصُّبْحِ فِي الْجَمَاعَةِ أَحَبُّ إِلَىَّ مِنْ أَنْ أَقُومَ لَيْلَةً .. It has been told to me from Malik from [Ibnu Shihab] from [Abu Bakr bin Sulaiman bin Abu Hatsmah], that [Umar bin Khatthab] once lost (did not see) Sulaiman bin Abu Hatsmah during the morning prayer. So in the early afternoon, Umar bin Khatthab went to the market in the morning, while Sulaiman's residence was located between the market and the Nabawi Mosque. Umar then met Asy Syifa, Sulaiman's mother. Umar then said, "I didn't see Solomon during the morning prayer?" The woman answered, "He had been praying all night, until he fell asleep." Umar said; "Participating in congregational morning prayers is more preferable to me than praying all night long (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 293.) 19th hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنَ God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing God bless you عَمْرَةَ فَجَلَسَ إِلَيْهَ فَقَالَ مَا مَعَكَ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ فَأَخْبَرَهُ . فَقَالَ لَهُ عُثْمَانُ مَنْ شَهِدَ الْعِشَاَ نِصْفَ لَيْلَةٍ وَمَنْ شَهِدَ الصُّبْحَ فَكَأَنَّمَا قَامَ لَيْلَةً .. Has told me from Malik from [Yahya bin Sa'id] from [Muhammad bin Ibrahim] from [Abdurrahman bin Abu 'Amrah Al Ansari] he said; "[Uthman bin Affan] came to the Isha prayer, but he saw that there were only a few people present, so he lay down on the edge of the mosque waiting for more people to come. Ibn Abu 'Amrah then approached him and sat near him. Abu Amrah then asked Uthman himself, then Uthman told him. Then Amrah asked again, "What do you know from the Koran? ' Uthman told him again. After that Uthman said to him, "Whoever follows the evening prayer as if he had prayed half the night. Whoever follows the morning prayer, it is as if he had prayed the whole night (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 294.) 20th hadith. God willing God willing مِحْجَنٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ، مِحْجَنٍ أَنَّهُ كَانَ فِي مَجْلِسٍ God willing فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَصَلَّى ثُمَّ God bless you God willing تُصَلِّيَ مَعَ النَّاسِ أَلَسْتَ بِرَجُلٍ مُسْلِمٍ " . فَقَالَ بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَلَكِنِّي قَدْ صَلَّيْتُ فِي أَهْلِي . فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " إِذَا جِئْتَ فَصَلِّ مَعَ النَّاسِ وَإِنْ كُنْتَ قَدْ صَلَّيْتَ " .. It has been told to me from Yahya from Malik from [Zaid bin Aslam] from a man from Bani Ad Dil named [Busr bin Mihjan] from his father [Mihjan], that he was once in the assembly of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam. Then the prayer call to prayer was announced, Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam then stood up to pray and returned. Meanwhile, Mihjan was still at the majlis and did not pray with him. Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam asked: "What prevents you from praying with people? Aren't you a muslim?" Mihjan replied, "That's right, O Messenger of Allah! But I have prayed with my family." Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "If you come to the mosque, then pray with the people even though they are already praying (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 295.) 21st Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، أَنَّ رَجُلاً، سَأَلَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ فَقَالَ إِنِّي أُصَلِّي فِي God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing مَعَهُ فَقَالَ لَهُ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ نَعَمْ . فَقَالَ الرَّجُلُ أَيَّتَهُمَا أَجْعَلُ صَم God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing يَجْعَلُ أَيَّتَهُمَا شَاءَ .. It has been told to me from Malik from [Nafi'], that a man asked Abdullah bin Umar, "I was praying at home, then I found myself praying with the imam. Should I pray again with them?" [Abdullah bin 'Umar] answered, "Yes." The man said, "Which of the two cancels my obligation?" Ibn Umar replied, "Is that your business? That is Allah's business. He has the right to determine it (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 296.) 22nd Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، أَنَّ God willing God willing يُصَلِّي أَفَأُصَلِّي مَعَهُ فَقَالَ سَعِيدٌ نَعَمْ . God bless you أَوَأَنْتَ تَجْعَلُهُمَا إِنَّمَا ذَلِكَ إِلَى اللَّهِ .. It has been told to me from Malik from [Yahya bin Sa'id] that there was a man who asked [Sa'id bin Musayyab]; "I was praying at my house. Then I went to the mosque, and I found the imam praying. Should I pray with him?" Then Sa'id answered; "Yes" the man asked; "Which of the two invalidates my obligations?" Sa'id replied, "Is that your right? It is Allah's right (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 297.) 23rd Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ عَفِيفٍ السَّهْمِيِّ، عَنْ God willing God willing God bless you فَقَالَ أَبُو أَيُّوبَ نَعَمْ فَصَلِّ مَعَهُ فَإِنَّ مَنْ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing جَمْعٍ .. It has been told to me from Malik from [Afif As-Sahmi] from [a man from Bani Asad] he asked [Abu Ayub Al Ansari], "I was already praying in my house, then I went to the mosque and I found the imam praying. So should I pray again with him?" Abu Ayub answered; "Yes, pray with him. Whoever does that, he will get the reward of the congregation, or like the reward of the congregation (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 298.) 24th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ God bless you God willing لَهُمَا . قَالَ مَالِكٌ وَلاَ أَرَى بَأْسًا أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ God bless you may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings شَفْعًا .. It has been told to me from Malik from [Nafi'] that [Abdullah bin Umar] said; "Whoever has performed the Maghrib or Fajr prayer, and then finds the Imam performing it, then he should not repeat it." Malik said; "I am of the opinion: there is no problem praying with the imam for anyone who has prayed, except for maghrib prayers. Because if he repeats it, it will be even (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 299.) 25th Hadith. Allah's blessings God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings فَلْيُخَفِّفْ فَإِنَّ فِيهِمُ الضَّعِيفَ وَالسَّقِيمَ وَالْكَبِيرَ وَإِذَا صَلَّى أَحَدُكُمْ لِنَفْسِهِ فَلْيُطَوِّلْ مَا شَاءَ " .. It has been related to me from Malik from [Abu Az Zinad] from [Al A'raj] from [Abu Hurairah] that the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "If one of you leads people, then let him make it light. Because among them there are weak, sick and old people. If one of you prays alone, then he can make it long as he pleases (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 300.) 26th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ قُمْتُ وَرَاءَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ فِي صَلاَةٍ مِنَ God willing اللَّهِ بِيَدِهِ فَجَعَلَنِي حِذَاءَهُ .. Having told me from Malik from [Nafi'] he said; "I was standing behind [Abdullah bin Umar] in prayer. While no one was praying behind him except me, then Abdullah pulled me by his hand and made me level with him (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 301.) 27th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، أَنَّ God willing إِلَيْهْ مَالِكٌ وَإِنَّمَا نَهَاهُ لأَنَّهُ كَانَ لاَ يُعْرَفُ أَبُوهُ .. It has been told to me from Malik from [Yahya bin Sa'id], that there is a man leading the people in 'Aqiq. Then [Umar bin Abdul Aziz] sent a messenger to him and forbade him to become a priest. Malik said, "'Umar bin Abdul Aziz forbade him to become an imam because the man's father was not known (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 302.) 28th Hadith. God bless you may Allah bless him and give him peace رَكِبَ فَرَسًا فَصُرِعَ فَجُحِشَ شِقُّهُ ام صَلاَةً مِنَ الصَّلَوَاتِ وَهُوَ قَاعِدٌ وَصَلَّيْنَا وَرَاءَهُ قُعُودًا فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ قَالَ " إِنَّمَا جُعِلَ الإِمَامُ لِيُؤْتَمَّ بِهِ فَإِذَا صَلَّى قَائِمًا prayer فَارْفَعُوا وَإِذَا قَالَ سَمِعَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ God bless you فَصَلُّوا جُلُوسًا أَجْمَعُونَ " .. Yahya has told me from Malik from [Ibnu Shihab] from [Anas bin Malik], that Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam was riding a horse, then his horse fell and his right arm cracked. He then prayed sitting, and we followed him in prayer while sitting. We also prayed behind him sitting. After the prayer he said: "Being made a priest is to be followed. If he prays standing, pray standing. If he bows down, then bow down too. If he gets up, then get up too. Has told me from Malik from [Hisyam bin Urwah] from [his father] from [Aisyah] the wife of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, he said; "The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam prayed when he was sick. He prayed sitting, while the people praying behind him prayed while standing. Then he motioned for them to pray while sitting, after finishing the prayer he said: "The only thing he was made an imam for was to be followed. If he bows, then bow with him. If he rises, then rise with him. And if he prays sitting, then pray sitting (Degree: authentic. Telah menceritakan kepadaku Yahya dari Malik dari [Zaid bin Aslam] dari [Al-Qa'qa' bin Hakim] dari [Abu Yunus] mantan budak Aisyah Ummul Mukminin, dia berkata; " [Aisyah] menyuruhku menulis mushaf untuknya, kemudian ia berkata, "Apabila kamu telah sampai pada ayat ini, maka kabarkanlah saya: '(Peliharalah semua shalat(mu), dan (peliharalah) shalat wusthaa. Berdirilah untuk Allah (dalam shalatmu) dengan khusyu') ' (Qs. Al Baqarah: 238) Tatkala saya sampai pada ayat itu, saya pun menyampaikan hal itu kepdanya.
