It has been related to us [Ya'qub] said; has told me [my father] from [Ibn Ishaq] said; has told me [Salih bin Ibrahim bin Abdurrahman bin 'Auf] from [Mahmud bin Labid, from the tribe of Abdul Ashal] from [Salamah bin Salamah bin Waqsy] one of the people who took part in the Battle of Badr, he said; We had a Jewish neighbor from Bani Abdul Ashhal. (Salamah bin Salamah bin Waqsy Radliyallahu'anhu) said; One time he left his house before the Prophet sallallaahu'alaihiwasallam was sent, he took part in a majlis of the Bani Abdul Asyhal. On that day, I was at the youngest age meeting, I was wearing a shawl while leaning in the yard of my house, (the Jew) explained about the Day of Resurrection, the Day of Judgment, the Day of Reckoning, the Scales, heaven and hell, then said 'Torment is for the polytheists, who worship idols who believe that there is no day of resurrection after death. They said to him, "Woe to you, O so and so, do you think that humans will be resurrected after death, to go to a place called heaven and hell, they will be rewarded according to the deeds they have done? So (the Jew) said; "Yes, by the One with whom an oath was made, someone really wants his part of hell to become the biggest furnace in the world, then people roast him and put him in that hell, and that person is closed in that hell. They said to him, "Hus, what are the signs of these things"? So he said; "A prophet sent from this land," he pointed with his index finger towards Mecca and Yemen. They ask, when did you see it? (Salamah Radliyallahu'anhu) said; The Jew looked at him, I was the youngest, "When this child reaches adulthood, he will know it." Salamah said; "By Allah, day and night do not change unless Allah Ta'ala sends His Messenger, sallallaahu'alaihiwasallam, and he lives among us and we believe in him, while (the Jews) disbelieved in (the Messenger of Allah, sallallaahu'alaihiwasallam) with full of hatred and desire. We said: "Woe to you, O so and so, aren't you the one who explained to us this matter"? (The Jews) said; "True, but what is meant is not him." (Degree: authentic. Source: Musnad Ahmad.) 27th Hadith. Has told us [Yahya bin Ishaq] from his writings, said; has informed us [Ibn Lahi'ah] from [Abdullah bin Hubairah] from [Hassan bin Kuraib] that a young man from them died, his parents were very sad. [Hausyab], a friend of the Prophet sallallaahu'alaihiwasallam said; "Shall I tell you something that I heard from Rasulullah Shallallahu'alaihiwasallam about a case like what happened to your son?" There was a man among his companions who had a child who could only crawl, he came with his father to the Prophet sallallaahu'alaihiwasallam. Then the day his son died, his father was so sad about his son's death that he didn't see the Prophet sallallaahu'alaihiwasallam for about six days. The Prophet sallallaahu'alaihiwasallam said: "Why don't I see so and so?" They answered, "O Messenger of Allah, indeed his son died, and he was very sad about it." Rasulullah Sallallahu'alaihiwasallam said to him, "O so and so, are you not happy if your child is now playing freely like other small children, are you not happy if your child becomes a free and brave child, and are you not happy that your child becomes an adult and main person, or that you are told "Enter heaven as a reward for something that was taken from you?? Ghalib bin Abdullah berpesan, "Tetaplah bersamanya, sampai kami melewatimu nanti, kalau dia khianat, maka potonglah kepalanya". Kami mendapatkan hewan ternak, lalu kami pulang.
