God bless you may Allah bless him and give him peace of mind God willing Has told us [Abu Dawud] Has told us [Hisyam] from [Qatadah] from [Khilas] from [Abdullah bin Utbah] he said; Ibn Masud came to a man who had married a woman, then died and had not had time to give her dowry and had never interfered with her. [Ibnu Mas'ud] was asked about the woman's legal case, and for a period of one month had not provided an answer. then they asked him again, finally he said, "I will answer with my own opinion. If my opinion is wrong, then it is from my weakness and comes from Satan, but if my opinion is right, then it comes from Allah. The woman is entitled to a dowry like other wives, she is also entitled to a share of the inheritance. And for her there is a need to wait for the iddah period." Then a man from the Bani Ashja' stood up and said, "I swear that you have decided the woman's case as the Messenger of Allah decided the case for Birwa' bint Wasiq." Then Ibn Masud said, "Come to me your witness!" So [Jarrah] and [Abu Sinan] and two men from the Banu Ashja' testified." (Degree: authentic. Source: Musnad Ahmad.) 21st Hadith.
