' Then the second answered, 'I am Fulan bin Fulan bin Al Islam.' The Prophet said: "After that Allah sent down a revelation to Musa Alaihis Salam regarding these two people: 'As for you, O person who is a parent, or consecrated himself to nine people who are in hell, then you are the tenth person. Then another person came who read it with a different reading from his friend's reading. After we finished praying, we went to the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, I said, 'O Rasulullah, he read with the reading that I disbelieved, then came his friend who also read with another reading? I felt it during the Jahiliyah period. So when Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam saw that my heart was haunted by this feeling, he patted my chest." Ubay continued, "I was dripping with sweat as if I was looking at my Rabb Tabaaraka Wa Ta'ala, he said: "O Ubay, indeed my Rabb has sent a messenger to me and said: 'Read in one dialect (one mode of reading).' I also asked him to provide relief for my people, then Allah ordered me to read in two dialects. Then I again asked for relief for my people three times, so Allah ordered me to read in seven dialects. And for you, for every question you ask, I give the answer. I then prayed: "O Allah, forgive my people. Oh Allah, forgive my people. Then I ended the third request for the day that all creatures were waiting for me, even Prophet Ibrahim Alaihis Salam." I then answered, "Because of the food we eat." Both of them said, "Why do you perform ablution from good food, when people who are better than you (Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) do not do it?" (Degree: authentic. Has told us [Abu Bakr bin Ayyasy] from [Ashim] from [Zir] he said, I told [Ubay], that Abdullah commented on the letter Al Mu'awwidzatain, so he answered, "We have asked the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam about both, then he read them to me and I read them, I said as he said." Having told us [Waki'] he said, having told us [Sufyan] from ['Ashim] from [Zir] he said, "I asked [Ubay bin Ka'ab] about the letter Al Mu'awwidzatain, then he said, 'I have asked the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam about both, so he said it to me and I said it to you, so say it as I say it." Ubay said, "then the Prophet said it to us and we said it too." He has told us [Abdurrahman bin Mahdi] he said, he has told us [Sufyan] from ['Ashim] from [Zir] he said, he has told me [Ubay bin Ka'b] he said, "I once asked Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam about Surah Al Mu'awwidzatain, then he recited it to me and I also recited it." Ubay said, "Then Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said to us and we followed him." Has told us [Abdurrahman bin Mahdi] from [Sufyan] from [Zubair bin 'Adi] from [Abu Razin] from [Zir bin Hubaisy] from [Ubay bin Ka'b] with the same hadith. Has told us [Muhammad bin Ja'far] he said, has told us [Syu'bah] from ['Ashim bin Bahdalah] from [Zir] he said, "I asked [Ubay] about Al Mu'awwidzatain's letter then he said, "Indeed I have asked about both of them to Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam." Ubay said, "So it was read to me and I read it then Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi Wasallam ordered us to read it and we read it." Having told us [Affan] he said, having told us [Hammad bin Salamah] he said, having reported to us ['Ashim bin Bahdalah] from [Zir bin Hubaisy] he said, "I said to [Ubay bin Ka'b], "Ibn Mas'ud did not write the letter Al Mu'awwidzatain in his Mushaf?" Then he answered, "I testify that Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam had told me that the Angel Gabriel had read to him: 'QUL A'UUDZU BIRABBIL FALAQ (Say: "I seek refuge in God who controls the dawn)' (Qs. Al Falaq: 1). So I read it, then Jibril read: 'QUL A'UUDZU BIRABBIN NAAS (Say: "I take refuge in God (who preserves and controls) humans) ' (Qs. An Naas: 1), so I read it." And we read what the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam had read." He told us [Affan] he said, he told us [Abu Awanah] from [Ashim] from [Zir] from [Ubay] from the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam with the correct hadith." (Degree: authentic. Source: Musnad Ahmad.) 8th Hadith. Has told us [Muhammad bin Husain bin Ashkab] has told us [Muhammad bin Abu Ubaidah bin Ma'n] has told us [My father] from [Al A'masy] from [Abu Ishaq] from [Abdurrahman bin Yazid] said, "[Abdullah] (Ibn Mas'ud) deleted Mu'awidzatain from his mushaf, he said that both of them are not from the book of Allah Tabaaraka Wa Ta'ala." [Al A'masy] said, had told us [Ashim] from [Zir] from [Ubay bin Ka'b] said, "We asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), he then read it, so I followed it." (Degree: authentic. Source: Musnad Ahmad.) 9th Hadith. It has been told to us that [Sufyan bin Uyainah] from [Abdah] and [Ashim] from [Zir] said, I said to Ubay, 'Indeed your brother deleted both of them (mu'awidzatain) from his mushaf,' but he did not deny it." -It was mentioned to Sufyan; whether he was Ibn Mas'ud- he answered, "Yes. It is not in Ibn Mas'ud's mushaf. He saw Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam ask for protection for Hasan and Husian with this letter, and never heard Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam read it during prayer. So he thought that it was only for protection, and he still held that belief, while others determined that both were part of the Koran." (Degree: authentic. Source: Musnad Ahmad.) 10th Hadith. Has told us [Abu Bakr bin Abu Syaibah] has told us [Abdullah bin Idris] from [Ajlah] from [Ash Sha'bi] from [Zir bin Hubaisy] from [Ubay bin Ka'b] he said, "The night of Laylatul Qadar is the twenty-seventh night of the month of Ramadan, the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam has informed us that among the signs is the rising of the sun with colored rays pure white." Has told us [Uthman bin Abu Syaibah] has told us [Ibn Idris] with his sanad from the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, like this hadith. But he added, "The sun rises without blazing heat." (Degree: authentic. Source: Musnad Ahmad.) 11th Hadith. God bless you عَنْ زِرٍّ قَالَسَأَلْتْ God bless you يُصِبْ لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فَقَالَ يَرْحَمُهُ اللَّهُ لَقَدْ may Allah bless him and give him peace of mind God bless you God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing لَا شُعَاعَ لَهَا. Having told us [Sufyan] he said, I heard it from [Abdah] and [Ashim] from [Zir] he said, I said to [Ubay], "O Abu Mundzir, indeed Ibn Mas'ud, your brother, said, 'Whoever performs the night prayer a year, he will get lailatul qadar.' Ubay then answered, "May Allah have mercy on him, even though he knows that it happened in the month of Ramadan, on the twenty-seventh night." Ubay then swore, so I asked, "How did you know?" He answered, "By the signs that have been reported to us, one of the signs is that on that day the sun will rise without being scorching hot." (Degree: authentic. Source: Musnad Ahmad.) 12th Hadith. It's just that Syu'bah felt in the sentence 'that is the night that Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam ordered us to do'. He (syu'bah) said; my friend told me this hadith from him (Ubay)." Has told us [Yazid bin Harun] has told us [Sufyan bin Sa'id] from [Ashim] from [Zir] said, [Ubay] said to me that the night of Lailatul Qadar is the twenty-seventh night, namely the night that is excluded by signs as Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam has told us. So we calculated that that night was what had been excluded." (Degree: authentic. Source: Musnad Ahmad.) 14th Hadith. Ubay answered, "May Allah have mercy on Abu Abdurrahman, in fact he knows that that night occurs in the month of Ramadan, but he likes it if people don't limit themselves (doing good deeds on that night). Indeed, it exists on the twenty-seventh night without exception." I asked again, "O Abu Mundzir, how did you know?" Ubay answered, "By the signs that Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam has told us, that on the morning of the night of Lailatul Qadar the sun will rise without bright light until it rises." [Hammad bin Zaid] has told us [Ashim] from [Zir] he said, I asked [Ubay bin Ka'b], "O Abu Mundzir, tell me about lailatul qadar...then he mentioned the hadith. Zir said, "I then asked, "O Abu Mundzir, how do you know?" Ubay replied, "By the signs that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) informed us." (Degree: authentic. Has told us Abdullah has told me [Abbas bin Walid An Narsi] he said; has told us [Hammad bin Syu'aib] from [Ashim] from [Zir bin Hubaisy] from Abdullah that he said about lailataul qadar, "Whoever performs the night prayer a year will get it." So I rushed to Uthman bin Affan's place, I hoped to meet some of the companions of Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam from both the Muhajirin and Ansar." Ashim said, "[Ubay bin Ka'b] and Abdurrahman bin Auf made it their custom to pray until sunset, then pray twice before Maghrib." bless you, I only wish you one hope." Then Ubai said, "So that you don't miss a single verse in the Qur'an unless you ask me?" Ashim said, "And I have an honest friend, I then said, 'O Abu Mundzir, explain Laylatul Qadar to me! Because Ibn Mas'ud once stated that anyone who prays a year will surely get it'." Ubai answered, 'By Allah, indeed Abdullah (Ibnu Mas'ud) already knew that Lailatul Qadar occurred in the month of Ramadan, perhaps he hid it so that people would not be too dependent on it. By Allah, who revealed the Qur'an to Muhammad, Laylatul Qadar occurred in the month of Ramadan, namely on the twenty-seventh night." I (Ashim) asked, 'O Abu Mundzir, how do you know that?" He answered, "The Messenger of Allah Muhammad sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam has reported it to us, we counted it and we memorized it. By Allah, indeed he is there on odd nights." I asked, "What are the signs?" He answered, "It occurs when the sun rises without any rays of light." So on the night of his sahur, Ashim did not eat, until he had finished the morning prayer, he climbed to a high place and watched the sun as it rose without leaving a thread of light until it turned white and crawled up the sky (afternoon)." And whoever accompanies the corpse until it is prayed for, he will be rewarded with one Qirath, by the One in whose hands Muhammad's soul is in his hands (one qirath) whose scales are heavier than Mount Uhud." Having told us [Sufyan] from [Ashim] from [Abu Uthman] from [Ubay] he said, "The house where my uncle's son lives is very far away so I said, 'I wish you were riding a donkey or something.' Then he answered, "It is not a matter of pride for me if my house is close to the house of Muhammad sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam." Ubay said, "Then no words that I hate the most come out of his mouth except those words." The narrator said, "When his brother mentioned (the virtue of) taking a step back to the mosque, Ubay asked the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam. He answered: "Every footstep he takes, his rank will rise one level." Then it was said to him, 'If only you bought a donkey so that you could ride it when the desert is hot and the nights are dark.' Then he answered, "It's not a matter of pride if my house is close to the mosque." then these words were conveyed to the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, so he said: "What do you want with your words 'It is not a matter of pride if my house is close to the mosque'?" the person answered, "I want my steps to be worth a reward when I go to the mosque and when I go home to my family." Ubay continued, "He always attended the five daily prayers with the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, so I said to him, 'I wish you bought a donkey so you could ride it in the heat and on dark nights.' The man answered, "By Allah, I don't want my house to be close to the mosque of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam." (Derajat: shahih. Sumber: Musnad Ahmad.)
