Then the Companions mentioned the name of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, [Ka'ab] said: "Not a single day (passed by) unless a thousand angels descended and surrounded the grave of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, they flapped their wings and offered blessings to the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam. Until evening came, they rose (to the sky,) and the angels descended like those and did the same deeds as before, until the earth split open, He sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam came out accompanied by seventy thousand angels." Then He said: "I command you to fear Allah Subhaanallahu wa Ta'ala and always listen and obey (to the leaders), even though he is a slave of Habasyah, in fact whoever of you who lives after me will surely see many differences, then you must follow my sunnah and the straight Sunnah of the khulafa`urrasyidin, bite it with your molars (hold it firmly), be careful with everything new (things) bid`ah), because anything new is bid`ah."
