Welcome to the study of authentic hadith selected by ULYAH. Let's look at some of the following sayings of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam, one by one, with an open heart to put them into practice. 1st Hadith. أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ زَيْدٍ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ قَالَ مَا أَوَى شَيْءٌ إِلَى شَيْءٍ أَزْيَنَ مِنْ حِلْمٍ إِلَى عِلْمٍ. Has told us [Muhammad bin Ahmad] has told us [Sufyan bin 'Uyainah] from [Zaid] from ['Atha`] he said: "There is nothing that meets more beautifully than when politeness meets knowledge." (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 2nd hadith. أَخْبَرَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَاصِمٌ الْأَحْوَلُ عَنْ عَامِرٍ الشَّعْبِيِّ قَالَ زَيْنُ الْعِلْمِ حِلْمُ أَهْلِهِ. Has told us [Affan] has told us [Hammad bin Salamah] has told us ['Ashim Al Ahwal] from ['Amir As Sya'bi] he said: "The ornament of knowledge is the polite attitude of its owner'. (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 3rd Hadith. أَخْبَرَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ حَدَّثَنَا زَمْعَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ وَهْرَامٍ عَنْ طَاوُسٍ قَالَ مَا حُمِلَ الْعِلْمُ فِي مِثْلِ جِرَابِ حِلْمٍ. Has told us [Ya'qub bin Ibrahim] has told us [Abdur Rahman] has told us [Zam'ah bin Salih] from [Salamah bin Wahram] from [Thawus] he said: 'Knowledge is not brought like a pot of politeness." (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 4th Hadith. أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ أَخْبَرَنَا مُطَرِّفُ بْنُ مَازِنٍ عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ مِقْسَمٍ عَنْ وَهْبِ بْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ قَالَ إِنَّ الْحِكْمَةَ تَسْكُنُ الْقَلْبَ الْوَادِعَ السَّاكِنَ. Has told us [Al Hakam bin Al Mubarak] has told us [Mutharrif bin Mazin] from [Ya'la bin Miqsam] from [Wahab bin Munabbih] he said: "Wisdom resides in a soft and calm heart". (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 5th Hadith. أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ سُفْيَانَ يَقُولُ قَالَ عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ شِنْتُمْ الْعِلْمَ وَأَذْهَبْتُمْ نُورَهُ وَلَوْ أَدْرَكَنِي وَإِيَّاكُمْ عُمَرُ لَأَوْجَعَنَا. Has reported to us [Muhammad bin Ahmad] he said: "I once heard [Sufyan] say: [Ubaiadullah] said: 'You want knowledge, but you take away its light, if Umar radiallahu 'anhu finds me and you, he will surely punish us' ". (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 6th Hadith. أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ الْفُضَيْلِ بْنِ غَزْوَانَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ حُسَيْنٍ قَالَ مَنْ ضَحِكَ ضَحْكَةً مَجَّ مَجَّةً مِنْ الْعِلْمِ. Has told us [Muhammad bin Humaid] has told us [Jarir] from [Al fudlail bin Ghazwan] from [Ali bin Husain] he said: "Whoever laughs, loses one part of knowledge". (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 7th Hadith. أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ أَنَّ عُمَرَ قَالَ لِكَعْبٍ مَنْ أَرْبَابُ الْعِلْمِ قَالَ الَّذِينَ يَعْمَلُونَ بِمَا يَعْلَمُونَ قَالَ فَمَا أَخْرَجَ الْعِلْمَ مِنْ قُلُوبِ الْعُلَمَاءِ قَالَ الطَّمَعُ. It has been reported to us [Muhammad bin Yusuf] from [Sufyan] that Umar said to [Ka'ab]: "Who are called people of knowledge?" (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 8th Hadith. أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ أَبِي إِيَاسٍ قَالَ كُنْتُ نَازِلًا عَلَى عَمْرِو بْنِ النُّعْمَانِ فَأَتَاهُ رَسُولُ مُصْعَبِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ حِينَ حَضَرَهُ رَمَضَانُ بِأَلْفَيْ دِرْهَمٍ فَقَالَ إِنَّ الْأَمِيرَ يُقْرِئُكَ السَّلَامَ وَقَالَ إِنَّا لَمْ نَدَعْ قَارِئًا شَرِيفًا إِلَّا وَقَدْ وَصَلَ إِلَيْهِ مِنَّا مَعْرُوفٌ فَاسْتَعِنْ بِهَذَيْنِ عَلَى نَفَقَةِ شَهْرِكَ هَذَا فَقَالَ أَقْرِئْ الْأَمِيرَ السَّلَامَ وَقُلْ لَهُ إِنَّا وَاللَّهِ مَا قَرَأْنَا الْقُرْآنَ نُرِيدُ بِهِ الدُّنْيَا وَدِرْهَمَهَا. Has told us [Ahmad bion Humaid] has told us [Muhammad bin Bisyr] has told us [Abdullah bin Al Walid] from [Umar bin Ayyub] from [Abu Iyas] he said: "I once lived (in the house of) 'Amr bin An Nu'man. When the month of Ramadlan arrived, Mush'ab bin Az Zubair's messenger came with two thousand dirhams, then he said: 'Governor (Az Zubair) conveyed greetings to you, and he (Az Zubair) said: 'We will not spare a noble qari` unless he will get appreciation from us, so please use these two thousand dirhams for your needs this month', ['Amr bin Nu'man] replied: 'Excuse me, please convey greetings to the Governor, and tell him: By Allah subhanallahu wa ta'ala, we don't read the Qur'an because we want to gain the world and dirhams' ". Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 9th Hadith. أَخْبَرَنَا أَسَدُ بْنُ مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ جَابِرٍ عَنْ الْمِقْدَامِ بْنِ مَعْدِي كَرِبَ الْكِنْدِيِّ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَرَّمَ أَشْيَاءَ يَوْمَ خَيْبَرَ الْحِمَارَ وَغَيْرَهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ لَيُوشِكُ بِالرَّجُلِ مُتَّكِئًا عَلَى أَرِيكَتِهِ يُحَدَّثُ بِحَدِيثِي فَيَقُولُ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكُمْ كِتَابُ اللَّهِ مَا وَجَدْنَا فِيهِ مِنْ حَلَالٍ اسْتَحْلَلْنَاهُ وَمَا وَجَدْنَا فِيهِ مِنْ حَرَامٍ حَرَّمْنَاهُ أَلَا وَإِنَّ مَا حَرَّمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ هُوَ مِثْلُ مَا حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ. It has been reported to us [`Asad bin Musa] has told us [Mu'awiyah] has told us [Al Hasan bin Jabir] from [Al Miqdam bin Ma'di Karib Al Kindi]: "The Messenger of Allah sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam on the day of the conquest of Khaibar forbade several kinds of things, including himar (donkeys) and others, then he said: 'Almost a man who leans on Shafa luxurious narrated a hadith from me, he said: 'Between us and you is the Book of Allah subhanallahu wa ta'ala, so what we find as halal we will make halal, and what we find as haram we will make haram'. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 10th Hadith. أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَقَ الْفَزَارِيِّ عَنْ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ قَالَ السُّنَّةُ قَاضِيَةٌ عَلَى الْقُرْآنِ وَلَيْسَ الْقُرْآنُ بِقَاضٍ عَلَى السُّنَّةِ. Having reported to us [Muhammad bin 'Uyainah] from [Abu Ishak Al Fazari] from [Al 'Auza'i] from [Yahya bin Abu Katsir] he said: "Hadith is an explanation that decides the evidence of the Qur'an and the Qur'an is not an explanation that decides the evidence of hadith." (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 11th Hadith. أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ عَنْ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ عَنْ حَسَّانَ قَالَ كَانَ جِبْرِيلُ يَنْزِلُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالسُّنَّةِ كَمَا يَنْزِلُ عَلَيْهِ بِالْقُرْآنِ. Has reported to us [Muhammad bin Katsir] from [Al 'Auza'i] from [Hassan] he said: "Jibril 'alaihissalam came down to meet the Prophet sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam conveying the sunnah as he came down to convey the Qur'an". (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 12th Hadith. أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ عَنْ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ قَالَ السُّنَّةُ سُنَّتَانِ سُنَّةٌ الْأَخْذُ بِهَا فَرِيضَةٌ وَتَرْكُهَا كُفْرٌ وَسُنَّةٌ الْأَخْذُ بِهَا فَضِيلَةٌ وَتَرْكُهَا إِلَى غَيْرِ حَرَجٍ. Has reported to us [Muhammad bin Katsir] from [Al 'Auza'i] from [makhul] he said: "There are two sunnahs, namely the sunnah which is obligatory to take and if it is abandoned it is a kufr, and the sunnah which if taken is a virtue and if it is abandoned is like a sin." (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 13th Hadith. أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ حَكِيمٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَ يَوْمًا بِحَدِيثٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ مَا يُخَالِفُ هَذَا قَالَ أَلَا أُرَانِي أُحَدِّثُكَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَتُعَرِّضُ فِيهِ بِكِتَابِ اللَّهِ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَعْلَمَ بِكِتَابِ اللَّهِ مِنْكَ. It has been reported to us that [Sulaiman bin Harb] has told us [Hammad bin Salamah] from [Ya'la bin Hakim] from [Sa'id bin Jubair] that one day he narrated a hadith from the Prophet sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam, then someone said: 'In the Qur'an it is contrary to this (the hadith conveyed)', he said: 'I don't understand, I told the hadith from the Messenger of Allah sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam, while you compare it with the Book of Allah subhanallahu wa ta'ala, Rasulullah sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam knows more about the contents of the Book of Allah subhanallahu wa ta'ala than you do." (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 14th Hadith. أَخْبَرَنَا نُعَيْمُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ عَنْ عَوْنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ أَنَّهُ قَالَ إِذَا حُدِّثْتُمْ بِالْحَدِيثِ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَظُنُّوا بِهِ الَّذِي هُوَ أَهْيَأُ وَالَّذِي هُوَ أَهْدَى وَالَّذِي هُوَ أَتْقَى. It has been reported to us that [Nu'aim bin Hammad] has told us [Abdul Aziz bin Muhammad] from [Ibnu 'Ajlan] from ['Aun bin Abdullah] from [Ibn Mas'ud] that he said: "If you narrate a hadith from Rasulullah sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam, then imagine (that you are telling) the best, most guided and most pious person." (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 15th Hadith. أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ حَدَّثَنَا مِسْعَرٌ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ عَنْ أَبِي الْبَخْتَرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيِّ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ إِذَا حُدِّثْتُمْ شَيْئًا عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَظُنُّوا بِهِ الَّذِي هُوَ أَهْدَى وَالَّذِي هُوَ أَتْقَى وَالَّذِي هُوَ أَهْيَأُ. Has told us [Abu Nu'aim] has told us [Mis'ar] from ['Amr bin Murrah] from [Abu Al Bakhtari] from [Abu Abdur Rahman As Sulami] from [Ali] radliallahu 'anhu he said: "When you are told about the hadith from Rasulullah sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam, imagine that you are being told about (the figure) who is the most guided, the most God-fearing and the best." (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 16th Hadith. أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ إِسْمَعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ كُلَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ كَانَ إِذَا حَدَّثَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ كَذَبَ عَلَيَّ مُتَعَمِّدًا فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنْ النَّارِ فَكَانَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ إِذَا حَدَّثَ قَالَ إِذَا سَمِعْتُمُونِي أُحَدِّثُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَلَمْ تَجِدُوهُ فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ أَوْ حَسَنًا عِنْدَ النَّاسِ فَاعْلَمُوا أَنِّي قَدْ كَذَبْتُ عَلَيْهِ. It has been reported to us by [Abu ma'mar Isma'il bin Ibrahim], from [Salih bin Umar] from ['Ashim bin Kulaib] from [his father] from [Abu Hurairah] radliallahu 'anhu, he said: "My father, when he narrated the hadith from Rasulullah sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam, always said: 'Rasulullah sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam said: 'Whoever Whoever lies in my name deliberately, let him prepare his seat in hell'. And when Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him, narrated a hadith, he always said: 'If you hear me telling a hadith from Rasulullah sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam, and you do not find it in the Book of Allah subhanallahu wa ta'ala or it is not good according to humans, know that I have lied about it' ". Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 17th Hadith. أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عِمْرَانَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ الْأَحْوَلِ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ قَالَ إِنَّ أَزْهَدَ النَّاسِ فِي عَالِمٍ أَهْلُهُ. Has told us [Abdullah bin Imran] has told us [Sufyan bin 'Uyainah] from [Sulaiman Al `Ahwal] from ['ikrimah] he said: "The most ascetic man is the one who knows his essence best." (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 18th Hadith. أَخْبَرَنَا أَسَدُ بْنُ مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ وَأَبِي مَسْلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ تَذَاكَرُوا الْحَدِيثَ فَإِنَّ الْحَدِيثَ يُهَيِّجُ الْحَدِيثَ. It has been reported to us that [`Asad bin Musa] has related to us [Syu'bah] from [Al Jurairi] and [Abu Maslamah] from [Abu Nadlrah] from [Abu Sa'id Al Khudri] radliallahu 'anhu he said: "You should repeat (those hadiths), because they move (explain) (other) hadiths." (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 19th hadith. أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ تَذَاكَرُوا الْحَدِيثَ فَإِنَّ الْحَدِيثَ يُهَيِّجُ الْحَدِيثَ. It has been reported to us that [Abu Nu'aim] has told us [Abu 'Awanah] from [Abu Bisyr] from [Abu Nadlrah] from [Abu Sa'id Al Hudri] he said: "You should repeat (those hadiths), because they move (explain) (other) hadiths." (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 20th hadith. أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَمْرٍو قَالَ قَالَ لِي طَاوُسٌ اذْهَبْ بِنَا نُجَالِسْ النَّاسَ. Has told us [Muhammad bin Ahmad] has told us [Sufyan] from ['Amr] he said: " [Thawus] Rahiahullahu once said to me: "Go with us, we sit with humans (to repeat the hadith of the Prophet sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) ". (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 21st Hadith. أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَعِيلُ بْنُ أَبَانَ حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْقُمِّيُّ حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ أَبِي الْمُغِيرَةِ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ تَذَاكَرُوا هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ لَا يَنْفَلِتْ مِنْكُمْ فَإِنَّهُ لَيْسَ مِثْلَ الْقُرْآنِ مَجْمُوعٌ مَحْفُوظٌ وَإِنَّكُمْ إِنْ لَمْ تَذَاكَرُوا هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ يَنْفَلِتْ مِنْكُمْ وَلَا يَقُولَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ حَدَّثْتُ أَمْسِ فَلَا أُحَدِّثُ الْيَوْمَ بَلْ حَدِّثْ أَمْسِ وَلْتُحَدِّثْ الْيَوْمَ وَلْتُحَدِّثْ غَدًا. Has told us [Isma'il bin Aban] has told us [Ya'qub bin Abdullah Al Qummi] has told us [Ja'far bin Abu Al Mughirah] from [Sa'id bin Jubair] from [Ibn Abbas] radiallahu 'anhu he said: "You should repeat this hadith, then it will not escape you, because the hadith is not like the Qur'an which is collected and preserved, and if you don't repeat this hadith, then it will escape you, and let not one of you say: 'I told you yesterday and I am not telling you (the hadith) now, but tell me about that hadith yesterday, today, and tell it tomorrow'." Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 22nd Hadith. أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ إِسْمَعِيلَ حَدَّثَنَا مِنْدَلُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ حَدَّثَنِي جَعْفَرُ بْنُ أَبِي الْمُغِيرَةِ حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ جُبَيْرٍ قَالَ قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ رُدُّوا الْحَدِيثَ وَاسْتَذْكِرُوهُ فَإِنَّهُ إِنْ لَمْ تَذْكُرُوهُ ذَهَبَ وَلَا يَقُولَنَّ رَجُلٌ لِحَدِيثٍ قَدْ حَدَّثَهُ قَدْ حَدَّثْتُهُ مَرَّةً فَإِنَّهُ مَنْ كَانَ سَمِعَهُ يَزْدَادُ بِهِ عِلْمًا وَيَسْمَعُ مَنْ لَمْ يَسْمَعْ. Has told us [Malik bin Isma'il] has told us [Mindal bin Ali] he said: has told me [Ja'far bin Abu Al Mughirah] has told me [Sa'id bin Jubair] he said: [Ibn Abbas] radiallahu 'anhu said: "Return (your memory of the hadith) and repeat it again, because if you do not repeat it again, it will disappear, and let no one say: 'I have tell the hadith once, because whoever hears it will increase his knowledge and will also hear people who have never heard it." (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 23rd Hadith. أَخْبَرَنَا قَبِيصَةُ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ قَالَ تَذَاكَرُوا الْحَدِيثَ فَإِنَّ ذِكْرَهُ حَيَاتُهُ. It has been reported to us [Qabishah] and [Muhammad bin Yusuf] both said: has reported to us [Sufyan] from [Al A'masy] from [Ibrahim] from ['Alqamah] he said: 'You should repeat this hadith again and again, because remembering it is the life of the hadith." Has reported to us [Muhammad bin Qudamah] from [Sufyan bin 'uyainah] from [Ziyad bin Sa'ad] he said: 'In the past [Ibnu Shihab] told the hadith to the people of inland Arabia". (Degree: authentic. Has told us [Abu An Nu'man] has told us [Hammad bin Zaid] from [Abu Abdullah As Syaqari] from [Ibrahim] he said: "Tell your hadith to people who like it and those who don't like it, because he is by your side, as if the imam you are reading". Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 26th Hadith. أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ السَّلَامِ عَنْ حَجَّاجٍ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ إِذَا سَمِعْتُمْ مِنَّا حَدِيثًا فَتَذَاكَرُوهُ بَيْنَكُمْ. It has been reported to us by [Abu Ma'mar] and [Muhammad bin Sa'id] from [Abdus Salam] from [Hajjaj] from ['Atha`] from [Ibn Abbas] may Allah be pleased with him, he said: "When you hear a hadith from us, you should repeat the hadith among yourselves." Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 27th Hadith. أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ عَنْ هُشَيْمٍ أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ قَالَ كُنَّا نَأْتِي الْحَسَنَ فَإِذَا خَرَجْنَا مِنْ عِنْدِهِ تَذَاكَرْنَا بَيْنَنَا. It has been reported to us [Abu Ma'mar] from [Husyaim] has reported to us [Yunus] he said: "We once went to (majlis) Al Hasan, when we left his side we repeated (the hadith) between us." Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 28th Hadith. أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ قَالَ قِيلَ لِعُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ لَوْ جَمَعْتَ النَّاسَ عَلَى شَيْءٍ فَقَالَ مَا يَسُرُّنِي أَنَّهُمْ لَمْ يَخْتَلِفُوا قَالَ ثُمَّ كَتَبَ إِلَى الْآفَاقِ وَإِلَى الْأَمْصَارِ لِيَقْضِ كُلُّ قَوْمٍ بِمَا اجْتَمَعَ عَلَيْهِ فُقَهَاؤُهُمْ. Having reported to us [Yazid bin Harun] from [hammad bin Salamah] from [Humaid] he said: It was said to [Umar bin Abdul Aziz]: "If only you united people in one understanding", then he said: "It would not please me if they did not disagree". Then he wrote letters to all corners or countries so that each people would judge according to what was agreed upon by their jurisprudence experts. (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 29th Hadith. أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ عَنْ الْمَسْعُودِيِّ عَنْ عَوْنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ مَا أُحِبُّ أَنَّ أَصْحَابَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمْ يَخْتَلِفُوا فَإِنَّهُمْ لَوْ اجْتَمَعُوا عَلَى شَيْءٍ فَتَرَكَهُ رَجُلٌ تَرَكَ السُّنَّةَ وَلَوْ اخْتَلَفُوا فَأَخَذَ رَجُلٌ بِقَوْلِ أَحَدٍ أَخَذَ بِالسُّنَّةِ. Has reported to us [Yazid] from [Al Mas'udi] from ['Aun bin Abdullah] he said: "I do not like that the companions of the Prophet sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam do not disagree, because if they gather (agree) on one understanding and one person leaves it, he means he has abandoned the sunnah, and if they disagree, and one person takes the opinion of a scholar, he has taken the sunnah." (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 30th Hadith. أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ عَنْ لَيْثٍ عَنْ طَاوُسٍ قَالَ رُبَّمَا رَأَى ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ الرَّأْيَ ثُمَّ تَرَكَهُ. It has been reported to us that [Abu Nu'aim] has told us [Hasan] from [Laits] from [Thawus] he said: "It is possible that [Ibn Abbas] may Allah be pleased with him expressed an opinion, then he abandoned that opinion." Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 31st Hadith. أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ أَنْبَأَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ مَرْوَانَ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ قَالَ قَالَ لِي عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَفَّانَ إِنَّ عُمَرَ قَالَ لِي إِنِّي قَدْ رَأَيْتُ فِي الْجَدِّ رَأْيًا فَإِنْ رَأَيْتُمْ أَنْ تَتَّبِعُوهُ فَاتَّبِعُوهُ قَالَ عُثْمَانُ إِنْ نَتَّبِعْ رَأْيَكَ فَإِنَّهُ رَشَدٌ وَإِنْ نَتَّبِعْ رَأْيَ الشَّيْخِ قَبْلَكَ فَنِعْمَ ذُو الرَّأْيِ كَانَ قَالَ وَكَانَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ يَجْعَلُهُ أَبًا. Has told us [Ibrahim bin Al Mundzir Al Hizami] has told us [Marwan bin mu'awiyah] has told us ['Ashim Al `Ahwal] he said: "I explained the fiqh hadiths to As Sha'bi, he allowed them to me." Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 33rd Hadith. أَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِعَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ أَسَمِعْتَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِرَجُلٍ مَرَّ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ بِسِهَامٍ أَمْسِكْ بِنِصَالِهَا قَالَ نَعَمْ. Has told us [Ibrahim bin Al Mundzir] has told us [Sufyan bin 'Uyainah] he said: I once said to ['Amr bin Dinar]: "Have you ever heard [Jabir bin Abdullah] he said: Rasulullah sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam said to a man who passed in the mosque carrying an arrow: 'Hold it with his bow? Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 34th Hadith. أَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِعَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ أَسَمِعْتَ أَبَاكَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُقَبِّلُهَا وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ قَالَ نَعَمْ. Having told us [Ibrahim bin Al Mundzir] has told us [Sufyan] he said: "I once said to [Abdur Rahman bin Al Qasim]: 'Have you ever heard [your father] relate a hadith from [Aisyah] radiallahu 'anha: 'Rasulullah sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam kissed her, while she was fasting?', he answered: 'Yes'". Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 35th Hadith. أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ حَدَّثَنَا مِسْكِينُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ كَتَبَ إِلَيَّ مَنْصُورٌ بِحَدِيثٍ فَلَقِيتُهُ فَقُلْتُ أُحَدِّثُ بِهِ عَنْكَ قَالَ أَوَ لَيْسَ إِذَا كَتَبْتُ إِلَيْكَ فَقَدْ حَدَّثْتُكَ قَالَ وَسَأَلْتُ أَيُّوبَ السَّخْتِيَانِيَّ فَقَالَ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ. Has told us [Al Hasan bin Ahmad] has told us [Miskin bin Bukair] has told us [Syu'bah] he said: '[Mansur] once wrote a hadith to me, then I met him and asked: 'Did I tell you a hadith? Has reported to us [Zakaria bin 'Adi] has reported to us [Abdullah bin al Mubarak] from [Ma'mar] from [Az Zuhri] he said: "I once explained a book to him, I (also) asked: Did I narrate it from you? Has told us [Ibrahim bin Al Mundzir Al Hizami] has told us [Daud bin 'Atha`] -former slave of Al Muzaniyyin-, has told us [Hisyam bin 'Urwah] from [his father] he said: "The presentation of the book and the hadith are the same".
