Welcome to the study of authentic hadith selected by ULYAH. Let's look at some of the following sayings of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam, one by one, with an open heart to put them into practice. 1st Hadith. أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى حَدَِ God willing مَالِكٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَكْثَرْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ فِي السِّوَاكِ. Has told us [Muhammad bin Isa] has told us [Abdul Warits] from [Syu'aib bin Al Habhab] from [Anas bin Malik] radiallahu 'anhu he said: Rasulullah shallalahu 'alaihi wa sallam once said: "I often order you to have lots of siwak." (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 2nd hadith. God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. God bless you may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings God willing صَلَاةٍ قَالَ أَبُو مُحَمَّد يَعْنِي السِّوَاكَ. Has told us [Muhammad bin Ahmad] has told us [Sufyan] from [Abu Az Zinad] from [Al A'raj] from [Abu Hurairah] radliallahu 'anhu from the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam he said: "If I had not burdened my people, I would have ordered them to do it every time they wanted to pray." Abu Muhammad said: "That is siwak". (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 3rd Hadith. Allah's blessings God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهْ مَرْضَاةٌ لِلرَّبِّ. Has told us [Khalid bin Makhlad Al Qathawani], has told us [Ibrahim bin Isma'il bin Abu Habibah] he said: has told me [Daud bin Al Hushain] from [Al Qasim bin Muhammad] from [Aisyah] radiallahu 'anha he said: Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam once said: "Miwak is (functions to) clean the mouth (teeth) and bring the pleasure of Rabb subhanallahu wa ta'ala". (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 4th Hadith. Allah's blessings God willing كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا قَامَ إِلَى التَّهَجُّدِ يَشُوصُ فَاهُ بِالسِّوَاكِ. Has reported to us [Sa'id bin Ar Rabi'] has told us [Syu'bah] from [hushain] he said: "I once heard [Abu Wa'il] from [Hudzaifah] he said: 'The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam when he got up to perform the tahajjud prayer, he brushed his teeth with siwak." (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 5th Hadith. God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings صَلَاةً بِغَيْرِ طُهُورٍ وَلَا صَدَقَةً مِنْ غُلُولٍ. Has told us [Sahl bin Hammad] has told us [Syu'bah] from [Qatadah] from [Abu Al Malih] from [his father] from the Prophet sallallaahu 'alahi wa sallam, he said; "Allah subhanalahu wa ta'ala does not accept prayers (a servant performs) without purifying himself, and (Allah subhanallahu wa ta'ala does not accept) alms from ghulul (taking the spoils of war before distributing them)." (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 6th Hadith. God bless you God willing God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing وَتَحْرِيمُهَا التَّكْبِيرُ وَتَحْلِيلُهَا التَّسْلِيمُ. Has reported to us [Muhammad bin Yusuf] from [Sufyan] from [Abdullah bin Muhammad bin 'Aqil] from [Muhammad Ibn Al Hanafiyah] from [Ali] radhialahu 'anhu he said: Rasulullah shallalahu 'alaihi wa sallam said: "The key to prayer is purification, the sign that is forbidden (all activities outside of prayer) is takbir, and the sign of halalizing (all activities outside prayer) is a greeting." It has been reported to us [Muhammad bin Isa] has told us [Ibn 'Ulayyah] has reported to us [Abu Raihanah] from [Safinah] he said: "The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam performed ablution with (one measure of water) mudd, and he bathed with (one measure of water) sha' ". (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 8th Hadith. God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing جَبْرٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسًا يَقُولُ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ God bless you وَيَغْتَسِلُ بِخَمْسِ مَكَاكِي. Has told us [Abu Al Walid At Thayalisi] has told us [Syu'bah] has reported to me [Abdullah bin Abdullah bin Jabr] he said: "I once heard [Anas] radiallahu 'anhu say: Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam once performed ablution with (water amounting to) one makkuk, and bathed with (water amounting to) five makkuk." (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 9th Hadith. God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. عَقِيلٍ عَنْ الرُّبَيِّعِ بِنْتْ قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَأْتِينَا فِي مَنْزَا فَآخُذُ مِيضَأَةً لَنَا تَكُونُ مُدًّا وَثُلُثَ مُدٍّ أَوْ رُبُعَ مُدٍِ عَلَيْهِ فَيَتَوَضَّأُ ثَلَاثًا ثَلَاثًا. Has told us [Zakaria bin 'Adi] has told us [Ubaidullah bin 'Amr] from [Abdullah bin Muhammad bin 'Aqil] from [Ar Rubai' bint Mu'awwidz bin 'Afra`] he said: "The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam came to our house, then I took a container of water for ablution about the size of one third or a quarter mudd, then I poured it on him, and he performed ablution three times-three times". Has told us [Ubaidullah bin Sa'id] has told us [Abu 'Amir Al 'Aqadi] has told us [Katsir bin Zaid] has told me [Rubaih bin Abdur Rahman bin Abu Sa'id Al Khudri] from [his father] from [his grandfather] from the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam he said: "There is no (valid) ablution for someone who does not recite basmallah." (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 11th Hadith. God willing God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. وَسَلَّمَ تَوَضَّأَ فَاسْتَوْكَفَ ثَلَاثًا فَقُلْتُ أَنَا God bless you ثَلَاثًا. Has told us [Hasyim bin Al Qasim] has told us [Syu'bah] has told me [An nu'man bin Salim] he said: "I once heard [Ibnu 'Amr bin `Aus] tell from his grandfather - [`Aus bin Abu `Aus] -, he once saw the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam performing ablution, he asked to be washed three times, then I asked him: 'Which member only (that) he asked to be stolen three times', he answered: 'He washed his hands three times' ". God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. وَاسْتَنْشَقَ وَغَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ ثَلَاثًا وَيَدَيْهِ ثَلَاثًا وَمَسَحَ بِرَأْسِهِ وَغَسَلَ رِجْلَيْهِ ثَلَاثًا ثُمَّ قَالَ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing وُضُوئِي هَذَا ثُمَّ صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ لَا يُحَدِّثُ فِيهِمَا نَفْسَهُ غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ. Has told us [Nashr bin Ali Al Jahdhami] has told us [Abdul A'la] from [Ma'mar] from [Az Zuhri] from ['Atha` bin Yazid] from [Humran bin Aban] -Uthman bin Affan's former slave-. That [Uthman] may Allah be pleased with him performed ablution, he rinsed his mouth, put water in his nose, washed his face three times, washed his hands three times, wiped his head, and washed his two feet three times, then he said: "I saw Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam perform ablution as (just) I performed ablution, then he said: 'Whoever performs ablution like this ablution of mine then praying two rak'ahs and not thinking anything in his heart (when praying), he is forgiven for his past sins' ". God bless you God bless you يَحْيَى الْمَازِنِيِِ زَيْدٍ دَعَا بِتَوْرٍ مِنْ مَاءٍ فَأَكْفَأَ عَم فَغَسَلَهُمَا ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ وَغَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ ثَلَاثًا وَيَدَيْهِ إِلَى الْمِرْفَقَيْنِ مَرَّتَيْنِ مَرَّتَيْنِ God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. God willing God bless you. Has told us [Yahya bin Hassan] has told us [Abdul Aziz bin Muhammad] and [Khalid bin Abdullah] from ['Amr bin Yahya Al Mazini] from [his father]; [Abdullah bin Zaid] asked for a vessel containing water, then poured it into his two hands, then he washed them three times, and he washed his face three times, and washed his hands up to his elbows twice-twice, then he said: 'This is it, I saw the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam performing ablution' ". Has told us [Yahya Ibnu Hassan], has told us [Abdul Aziz bin Abu Salamah] from ['Amr bin Yahya] from [his father] from [Abdullah bin Zaid] from the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam with a similar hadith (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 14th Hadith. Allah's blessings God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِوُضُوءْ God willing مَرَّةً مَرَّةً. Has told us [Abu 'Ashim] has told us [Sufyan Ats Tsauri] has told us [Zaid bin Aslam] from ['Atha` bin Yasar] from [Ibn Abbas] radliallahu 'anhu he said: "Shall I tell you or will I inform you about the ablution of Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam?, then he performed ablution once in a while or he said: 'once in a while'". (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 15th Hadith. God willing God bless you أَسْلَمَ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing مَرَّةً مَرَّةً جَمَعَ بَيْنَ الْمَضْمَضَةِ وَالِاسْتِنْشَاقِ. Has told us [Abu Al Walid] has told me [Abdul Aziz bin Muhammad Ad Darawardi] has told us [Zaid bin Aslam] from ['Atha` bin Yasar] from [Ibn Abbas] radliallahu 'anhu The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam once performed ablution, and he combined gargling and putting water in the nose." (Degree: sahih. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 16th Hadith. God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing الْمُسَيَّبْ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings وَيَزِيدُ بِهِ فِي الْحَسَنَاتِ قَالُوا بَلَى قَالَ إِسْبَاغُ God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ هُوَ ابْنُ مُحَمَّدَ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَذَكَرَ بِنَحْوِهِ. Has told us [Zakaria bin 'Adi] has told us [Ubaidullah bin 'Amr] from [Ibn 'Aqil] from [Sa'id bin Al Musayyib] from [Abu Sa'id Al Khudri] radliallahu 'anhu from the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, he heard him say: "Shall I show you one thing that can erase sins, and can increase the value of goodness?", they answered: "Of course", he said: "You should complete ablution when you don't feel like it, increase your steps towards the mosque, and wait for prayer times regularly." It has been told to us [Musa bin Mas'ud] has told us [Zuhair bin Muhammad] from [Abdullah Ibnu Muhammad bin 'Aqil], from [Sa'id bin Al Musayyab] from [Abu Sa'id Al Khudri] may Allah be pleased with him that he had heard Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, then he mentioned a hadith similar to it." (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 17th Hadith. God willing God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ أُمِرْنَا بِإِسْبَاغِ الْوُضُوءِ. Has told us [Musaddad] has told us [Hammad bin Zaid] from [Abu Al Jahdham] from [Ubaidullah bin Abdullah] from [Ibn Abbas] radiallahu 'anhu from the Prophet sallallaahu 'alahi wa sallam once said: "We were ordered to complete the ablution." (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 18th Hadith. God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing Allah's blessings God bless you God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing وَنَحْنُ جُلُوسٌ نَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهِ فَأَدْخَلَ يَدَهُ God bless you God willing مَنْ سَرَّهُ أَنْ يَنْظُرَ إِلَى طُهُم may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings Allah's blessings God willing نَحْوَهُ. Has told us [Abu Al Walid Ath Thayalisi] has told us [Za`idah] has told us [Khalid bin 'Alqamah Al Hamdani] has told me ['Abdu khair] he said: "(One day) after the fajr prayer [Ali] once entered the veranda, then he sat on the veranda, and said to his servant: 'Please get me (water to) purify', he said: 'His helper came with a vessel filled with water', 'Abdu Khair said: 'And we sat there looking at him', then he put his right hand in and filled his mouth with water to rinse his mouth and put the water in his nose, then he took it out (the water from his nose) with his left hand, he did this three times, three times, then he said: 'Whoever wants to see the way of ablution of the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, this is how ablution is done. was done by the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam' ". Has told us [Abu Nu'aim] has told us [Hasan bin Uqbah Al Muradi] he said: 'Has told me ['Abdu] Khair with a sanad similar to him". (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 19th hadith. God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing رَسُولَ اللَّهْ اسْتَنْشَقَ فَلْيَسْتَنْثِرْ وَمَنْ اسْتَجْمَرَ فَلْيُوتِرْ. Has told us [Ahmad bin Khalid] has told us [Muhammad bin Ishak] from [Az Zuhri] from ['A`idzullah bin Abdullah] he said: I once heard [Abu Hurairah] radliallahu 'anhu say: "I once heard the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam say: 'Whoever puts water in his nose and spits it out, and whoever performs his prayers with a stone should he (does) with odd numbers' ". (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 20th hadith. God willing God willing God willing هَكَذَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَوَضَّأَ. Has told us [Malik bin Isma'il] has told us [Isra`il] from ['Amir bin Syaqiq] from [Syaqiq bin Salamah] he said: "I once saw [Uthman] radliallahu 'anhu performing ablution, he stroked his beard, and he said: 'This is how I saw Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam performing ablution." (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 21st Hadith. God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. تَوَضَّأْتَ فَأَسْبِغْ وُضُوءَق أَصَابِعِكَ. It has been reported to us [Abu 'Ashim] has reported to us [Ibn Juraij] has reported to me [Isma'il bin Katsir] from ['Ashim bin Laqith bin Shabrah] from [his father] - the messenger of Bani Al Muntafiq -, from the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam he said: "When you perform ablution, you should complete your ablution, and you should intertwine your fingers." (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 22nd Hadith. God bless you ابْنُ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ يَسَافٍ عَنْ أَبِي يَحْيَى عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهْ رَسُولُ اللَّهْ لِلْأَعْقَابِ مِنْ النَّارِ أَسْبِغُوا الْوُضُوءَ. It has been reported to us [Yazid bin Harun] has reported to us [Ja'far Ibn Al Harith], from [Mansur] from [Hilal bin Yasaf] from [Abu yahya] from [Abdullah bin 'Amr] he said: Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Woe to the heels (which are not exposed to ablution water, will be affected by) the fire of hell, let you perfect ablution." (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 23rd Hadith. God willing مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ كَانَ يَمُرُّ بِنَا وَالنَّاسُ يَتَوَضَّئُونَ مِنْ God bless you الْقَاسِمِ وَيْلٌ لِلْأَعْقَابْ مُحَمَّد هَذَا أَعْجَبُ إِلَيَّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو. Has reported to us [Hasyim bin Al Qasim] has told us [Syu'bah] from [Muhammad bin Ziyad] he said: "I once heard [Abu Hurairah] radliallahu 'anhu he said: 'He once passed by us and the people were performing ablution from the place of ablution, then he said: 'Perfect your ablution, Abu Al Qasim shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: 'Woe to the heels (which are not exposed to ablution water, will be exposed to) hellfire' ". Abu Muhammad said: "This hadith amazed me more than the hadith of Abdullah bin 'Amr." (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 24th Hadith. God willing God willing God bless you God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. صَنَعْتُ أَوْ كَالَّذِي صَنَعْتُ. Has told us [Malik bin Isma'il has told us [Isra`il] from ['Amir bin Syaqiq] from [Syaqiq bin Salamah] he said: "I once saw [Uthman] perform ablution, then he rubbed his head (hair) and both his ears, both outside and inside, then he said: 'I have seen Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam perform (ablution) which I did or as I do' ". (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 25th Hadith. God bless you Allah's blessings God willing رَسُولَ اللَّهْ God bless you God willing وَغَسَلَ رِجْلَيْهِ حَتَّى أَنْقَاهُمَا ثُمَّ مَسَحَ رَأْسَهُ God willing بِهِ تَفْسِيرَ مَسْحِ الْأَوَّلِ. Has told us [Yahya bin Hassan] has told us [Ibn Lahi'ah] has told us [Habban bin Wasi'] from [his father] from [Abdullah bin Zaid 'Ashim Al Mazini] he said: "I once saw the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam performing ablution while in Al Juhfah, he rinsed his mouth and put water in his nose, then washed his face three times, then he wiped his head (his hair), then washed his feet until they were clean, then he washed his head with new water (not the water left over from washing his hands) ". Abu Muhammad said: "(This final statement) he intended to explain the first washing (of the head)". (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 26th Hadith. Allah's blessings God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings الْخُفَّيْنْ بِهِ قَالَ إِي وَاللَّهِ. It has been reported to us [Abu Al Mughirah] has told us [Al 'Auza'i] from [Yahya] from [Abu Salamah] from [Ja'far bin 'Amr bin Umayyah Adh Dhamri] from [his father]: "He once saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) washing his two khuf and his turban." Asked Abu Muhammad: "Did you make it a proof?", he answered: "Yes, by Allah subhanallahu wa ta'ala". (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 27th Hadith. God bless you أَسْلَمَ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing مَرَّةً مَرَّةً وَنَضَحَ فَرْجَهُ. "It has been reported to us [Qabishah] has reported to us [Sufyan] from [Zaid bin Aslam] from ['Atha` bin Yasar] from [Ibn Abbas] radliallahu 'anhu: The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam performed ablution once in a while, and he sprinkled water on his genitals (after performing the Istinja`) ". (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 28th Hadith. God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing لَيْلَى عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ عَنْ ابْنِ God bless you may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings God willing God willing God willing God willing رِجْلَيْهِ ثُمَّ يُؤْتَى بِالْمِنْدِيلِ فَيَضَعُهُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ فَيَنْفُضُ أَصَابِعَهُ وَلَا يَمَسُّهُ. Has reported to us [Ubaidullah bin Musa] from [Ibn Abu Laila] from [Salamah bin Kuhail] from [Kuraib] from [Ibn Abbas] radliallahu 'anhu he said: "I once asked [Maimunah] radliallahu 'anha my aunt, about (how to) bathe the junub of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, he answered: 'He was brought a vessel of water, then he poured the water with his right palm to his left palm, then he washed his genitals and the dirty parts, then he made ablution as in the ablution for prayer, then he washed his head and his whole body, then moved and washed his two feet, then he was given a handkerchief and he placed it in front of him, then his fingers waved it without holding it." (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 29th Hadith. أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُم God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing God willing مَاءٌ فَقُلْتُ نَعَمْ فَنَزَلَ عَنْ رَاحِلَتِهِ فَمَشَى حَتَّى God willing God willing وَعَلَيْهِ جُبَّةٌ مِنْ صُوفٍ فَلَمْ يَسْتَطِعْ أَنْ يُخْرِجَ ذِرَاعَيْهِ مِم God willing God bless you Allah's blessings.
