Has told us [Yazid bin Harun] has told us [Muhammad bin 'Amr] from [Abu Salamah] from [Fathimah bint Qais] that he told him; "Abu Salamah once received a letter from her that she had previously been the wife of a Quraysh man from Bani Makhzum, then she divorced him at once. Then Fatima sent a messenger to her husband's family demanding support from them. But they said: "You no longer get a living." When this reached the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, he said: "You no longer get a living, and have to wait for the iddah period, move to Umm's house Sharik, and don't ignore us so that we can tell about you." Then he said: "Indeed, Umm Sharik was a woman who was often visited by her brothers from among the muhajirin, therefore she moved to the house of Ibn Umm Maktum. Because he is a blind man, if you take off your clothes, he will not see anything. And do not ignore us so that we can report about you." Then he went to Ibn Umm Maktum's house, after his 'iddah period was over, he mentioned that Mu'awiyah and Abu Jahm had proposed to him. So the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Mu'awiyah is a man who has no wealth, while Abu Jahm is someone who cannot put his staff down from his shoulder. What do you think about Usamah?" but apparently Fatima's family didn't like that. But she said; "By Allah, I will not marry except someone who has been said by the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam." Then she married Usamah. Muhammad bin 'Amr said; Muhammad bin Ibrahim said (with redaction); "O Fatima, fear Allah. Indeed, you already know about this." Ibn Abbas said; Allah Ta'ala said: Do not expel them from their homes and do not allow them to go out unless they commit clearly abominable deeds." QS Ath Thallaq; 1. A faisyah's act is doing something cruel to his family, if he does that, then it is halal for them to expel him." (Degree: authentic.
