Aisyah binti Abu Bakar

Aisyah bint Abu Bakr, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ whom he loved the most, was known to be very intelligent, strong in her memorization and sharp in her understanding. He grew up in a house of faith and became the main reference for friends in fiqh, tafsir, hadith, faraidh, even poetry and medicine.

When the hypocrites spread false accusations (haditsul ifki) against Aisyah, she was patient and surrendered to Allah for days, until Allah sent down verses that cleared her name from above the seven heavens. This event confirmed his holiness and glory.

Aisyah narrated more than two thousand hadiths and became a teacher for many friends and tabi'in. Urwah bin Az-Zubair said he had never seen anyone who understood the Koran, faraidh, halal-haram, poetry and nasab better than Aisyah.

Aisyah died in 58 AH and was buried in Baqi'. According to some scholars, a quarter of the laws of the Shari'a reached the people through transmission. She is an example of a woman who is knowledgeable, patient, generous and very wary.
