The Prophet's Favorite Daughter

Fatimah Az-Zahra RA is the youngest daughter of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ who was most loved, known for the simplicity of her life even as the daughter of a great leader. She married Ali bin Abi Talib RA and gave birth to descendants who continued the family line of the Prophet ﷺ (Ahlul Bait). The Prophet ﷺ once said that Fatimah is the leader of women in heaven, making her the main example of morals and piety for Muslim women throughout the ages.

Favorite daughter of the Prophet Muhammad

Fatimah Az-Zahra, the youngest daughter of the Prophet ﷺ from Khadijah, was very similar to her father in the way she walked and talked. The Prophet ﷺ loved him especially; when he came, he stood up to greet him. She was called the "priestess of heaven".

A Household Full of Patience

Fatimah married Ali bin Abi Talib and lived a very simple life, grinding her own wheat until her hands got sore. The Prophet ﷺ taught both of them to read tasbih, tahmid, and takbir before going to bed instead of helpers — dhikr which is famous as "Tasbih Fatimah".

The First Following the Prophet

Before he died, the Prophet ﷺ whispered that Fatimah was the first of his family to follow him, and that she was the leader of the believers — so Fatimah smiled. He died six months after his father. It is from his descendants, through Hasan and Husain, that the lineage of the Prophet ﷺ continues.
