Sufyan Ats-Tsauri

Sufyan Ats-Tsauri was called "Amirul Mukminin fil Hadith" (leader of the believers in the science of hadith) because of his extraordinary depth and thoroughness in his narration. He lived a very ascetic life, refused various positions and positions from the authorities, and even hid for years to avoid being forced to become a judge. His work in the field of jurisprudence and hadith became an important reference for later generations of scholars, even though his own school of jurisprudence did not survive as a major school like the four main schools.
