In his book “Councils of Scholars,” Al-Zajjaji presents a series of scholarly councils in which he collected the conversations of famous scholars and linguists, narrating their dialogues and conversations on issues of language and literature. The book deals with numerous councils between prominent scholars such as Issa bin Omar Al-Thaqafi and Abu Amr bin Al-Ala, and documents the linguistic and scientific discussions that took place between them, thus providing a window into the world of language and literature in the Abbasid era.
