التعرف لمذهب أهل التصوف، كتاب في علم التصوف، من تأليف أبو بكر الكلاباذي المتوفى سنة 380 هـ، حيث يقول في مقدمته للكتاب: «فدعاني ذلك إلى أن رسمت في كتابي هذا وصف طريقتهم - أي الصوفية - وبيان نحلتهم وسيرتهم من القول في التوحيد والصفات وسائر ما يتصل به مما وقعت فيه الشبهة عند من لم يعرف مذاهبهم ولم يخدم مشايخهم. وكشفت بلسان العلم ما أمكن كشفه ووصفت بظاهر البيان ما صلح وصفه ليفهمه من يفهم إشاراتهم ويدركه من لم يدرك عباراتهم. …

Getting to know the doctrine of the people of Sufism, a book on the science of Sufism, written by Abu Bakr al-Kalabadhi, who died in the year 380 AH, where he says in his introduction to the book: “This led me to write in this book a description of their method - that is, Sufism - and an explanation of their approach and path of saying about monotheism and attributes and everything related to it, which was suspected by those who did not know their doctrines and did not serve their sheikhs. It revealed with the tongue of knowledge what could be revealed and described with apparent clarity what was appropriate to describe, to be understood by those who understood their signs and understood by those who did not understand their expressions. …
