Translation
The book “The Eye and Athar in the Beliefs of the People of Athar” by Sheikh Ibn Faqi Suffah deals with the sciences of the Islamic faith, as it details the knowledge of God, His attributes, and His words, then moves to His actions and to the rulings of Sharia law and prophecy, according to what the table of contents shows. It begins with an introduction to the glorification of God and an explanation of the importance of theology and the history of the division of the nation, then it progresses to chapters dealing with the monotheism of God, the attributes, power and will, the divine attributes, and prophecy, while clarifying the positions of the predecessors in interpreting the attributes. It concludes by addressing issues of predestination, destiny, and acts of worship, making it a comprehensive reference in the science of monotheism and doctrinal jurisprudence.
