The book “Contemporary Intellectual Schools and Their Role in Societies” by Dr. Ghaleb bin Ali Awaji is concerned with studying the secular doctrine and clarifying its positions from an Islamic perspective. In the two volumes, the author deals with a series of chapters that examine the definition of secularism, its origins in Europe, the reasons for its spread in Muslim countries, and its manifestations in politics, economics, and culture, with critical responses to claims of the lack of contradiction between it and religion.
