Translation
This book, “The Brief Fi Creed of the Pious Predecessors, Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jama’ah,” by its author, Abdullah bin Abdul Hamid al-Athari, deals with the definition of the creed and its origins among Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jama’ah, and reviews their qualities and advantages, with a focus on the five pillars of faith, the monotheism of God, belief in angels, books, and messengers, and belief in destiny and the Last Day. The book aims to clarify the doctrine of the righteous predecessors and explain its importance in Islam, relying on the sayings of the imams of the predecessors in interpreting the divine attributes.
