هذا كتاب في العقيدة الإسلامية، ألفه اليافعي ليرد به على شبهات المعتزلة ومسائلهم الخلافية المتعلقة بأصول الدين. يبدأ الكتاب بسؤال ورد من أحد فقهاء الزيدية، ثم يتناول المؤلف مناقشة قضايا كمعرفة الله تعالى، والعلاقة بين العقل والسمع، ومسألة أفعال العباد وخلقها، مدافعًا عن عقيدة أهل السنة ومؤيدًا لكتاب "إحياء علوم الدين".

Translation

This is a book on the Islamic faith, written by Al-Yafi’i to respond to the suspicions of the Mu’tazilites and their controversial issues related to the fundamentals of religion. The book begins with a question from one of the Zaidi jurists, then the author discusses issues such as knowledge of God Almighty, the relationship between reason and hearing, and the issue of the actions and character of people, defending the doctrine of the Sunnis and supporting the book “The Revival of Religious Sciences.”
