The book “Al-Qawl fi Ilm al-Astrology” by Al-Khatib Al-Baghdadi is a book of research and issues that deals with astronomy from an Islamic perspective, distinguishing between what is permissible in terms of knowing the names of the planets and their locations and what is prohibited in terms of using them in astrology. The author explains the contents of astrology, including the names of the planets, their constellations, locations, prayer times, and the direction of the Qiblah, based on the texts of the Qur’an, the Sunnah, and the sayings of scholars.
