هذا الكتاب بحثٌ موجز في حقيقة السحر وحكمه في الإسلام، يهدف إلى بيان خطورة اللجوء إلى المشعوذين والسحرة، وتأصيل المسألة من الكتاب والسنة. يبدأ بتعريف السحر لغة وشرعاً وبيان أنواعه، ثم يناقش حقيقته وهل له تأثير حقيقي أم هو مجرد تخييل، مستعرضاً أقوال أهل السنة والمعتزلة في ذلك. كما يوضح حكم تعلم السحر وتعليمه والعمل به، وعقوبة الساحر في الدنيا والآخرة، وشروط توبته، ويختتم ببيان حكم علاج السحر (النشرة) وصفته المشروعة.

Translation

This book is a brief study into the reality of magic and its ruling in Islam. It aims to explain the danger of resorting to charlatans and sorcerers, and to root the issue in the Qur’an and Sunnah. It begins by defining magic linguistically and legally and explaining its types. Then it discusses its reality and whether it has a real effect or is it just imagination, reviewing the sayings of the Sunnis and the Mu’tazilites on that matter. It also explains the ruling on learning, teaching, and working with magic, the punishment of the magician in this world and the hereafter, and the conditions for his repentance, and concludes with an explanation of the ruling on treating magic (al-Nashra) and its legal description.
