هذا الكتاب هو المجموعة الأولى من رسائل الإمام ابن حزم الأندلسي، ويضم أربع رسائل رئيسية: "طوق الحمامة في الألفة والألاف" التي تتناول الحب وأحواله وبواعثه، ورسالة في مداواة النفوس، ورسالة في حكم الغناء الملهي، ورسالة في معرفة النفس بغيرها وجهلها بذاتها. تمثل هذه الرسائل خلاصة تجارب ابن حزم الفكرية والحياتية، وتتنوع بين الفلسفة الذاتية والمسائل الفقهية والحوار الفكري، وقد نالت شهرة واسعة خاصة رسالة طوق الحمامة التي تُرجمت إلى لغات متعددة.

Translation

This book is the first collection of the letters of Imam Ibn Hazm Al-Andalusi, and it includes four main treatises: “The Dove’s Ring on Familiarity and Thousands,” which deals with love, its conditions and motives, a treatise on healing souls, a treatise on the rule of entertaining singing, and a treatise on the soul’s knowledge of others and its ignorance of itself. These letters represent a summary of Ibn Hazm’s intellectual and life experiences, and vary between personal philosophy, jurisprudential issues, and intellectual dialogue. They gained wide fame, especially the letter “Tawq al-Hamamah,” which was translated into multiple languages.
