The author reviews a number of provisions that preserve a woman’s rights in marriage, such as invalidating the waiver of rights under coercion, and proving the right of annulment to her if she is married without her consent, while explaining that the matter of divorce is originally in the man’s hands, with the possibility of making it in her hands by stipulation. The book aims to show Sharia’s concern for protecting women’s rights in marital relations.
