هذا الكتاب هو رسالة في بيان أحكام السماع والغناء، ألفها المؤلف ردًا على من أنكر ذلك من الجهال، مقسمًا الغناء إلى ثلاثة أقسام: ما كان بغير آلة، وما كان مقارنًا للدف والشبابة، وما كان بالأوتار والمزامير، مع فصول في الرقص وحكم حضور مجالس السماع، مستندًا في ذلك إلى أقوال الصحابة والتابعين والفقهاء.

Translation

This book is a treatise explaining the rulings on listening and singing, written by the author in response to the ignorant who deny that, dividing singing into three sections: that which is not performed without an instrument, that which is comparable to the tambourine and the tambourine, and that which is performed with strings and flutes, with chapters on dancing and the ruling on attending hearing gatherings, based on the sayings of the Companions, the Successors, and the jurists.
