يقدم ابن سعيد المغربي في كتابه "الجغرافيا" وصفاً مفصلاً للعالم من منظور جغرافي ورحلاتي، حيث يقسم المعمور إلى تسعة أقسام رئيسية، منها ما هو خلف خط الاستواء إلى الجنوب، والإقليم الأول وحتى السابع، مع تفصيل للجزء الأول من المنطقة الجنوبية التي تشمل مدنًا سودانية وصحاري وينابيع نهر النيل. الكتاب يتناول وصف الأرض ككرة محاطة بالماء، ويقسم المعمور إلى أقسام بناءً على العرض والطول، مع التركيز على تفاصيل الجغرافيا الطبيعية والبشرية في تلك المناطق.
Translation
In his book "Geography", Ibn Sa'id al-Maghribi provides a detailed description of the world from a geographical and travel perspective, dividing the globe into nine main sections, including what is behind the equator to the south, and the first to seventh regions, with a detail of the first part of the southern region, which includes Sudanese cities, deserts, and the springs of the Nile River. The book describes the Earth as a sphere surrounded by water, and divides the globe into sections based on width and length, focusing on the details of the natural and human geography in those regions.
