Translation

This book, “Oddities of Expatriation and the Excursion of Minds in Going,” by Shihab al-Din al-Alusi, deals with its author’s travels and experiences in the countries he visited, with a focus on the oddities and wonders he saw and important events he encountered during his travels. In his various chapters, Al-Alusi discusses matters subject to Istikhara, hadiths, and stories related to his travels, expressing his feelings and personal impressions regarding the places and events he saw. The book combines descriptions of geography, history, and local culture in the areas visited by its author, while adding his personal observations and opinions about what he saw and heard.
