هذا الكتاب يتناول فضائل مصر وخصائصها المميزة، مقارنة بسائر البلدان، مستعرضاً آثارها التاريخية والعلمية والدينية. يذكر المؤلف أبو عمر الكندي فضل مصر في الدين والدنيا، ويستشهد بآيات قرآنية وأحاديث نبوية تدل على مكانة مصر العظيمة. كما يسرد الكتاب أسماء العلماء والحكماء والفقهاء والزهاد الذين عاشوا فيها عبر العصور، مبيناً ما جعل منها بلداً مفضلاً في نظر الله ورسوله.
