آثار البلاد وأخبار العباد كتاب في التاريخ والجغرافيا ألفه أبو عبد الله بن زكريا القزويني. يحتوي الكتاب ثلاث مقدمات عن الحاجة إلى إنشاء المدن والقرى، وخواص البلاد، وتأثير البيئة على السكان والنبات والحيوان، كما عرض لأقاليم الأرض المعروفة آنذاك، وقسمها إلى سبعة أقاليم وعرض خصائص كل منها ومدنها. كما يضم هذا الكتاب أخبار الأمم وتراجم العلماء والأدباء والسلاطين، وأوصاف الزوابع، والتنين الطائر أو نافورة الماء وغير ذلك.

Translation

Antiquities of the Country and News of the People is a book on history and geography written by Abu Abdullah bin Zakaria Al-Qazwini. The book contains three introductions about the need to establish cities and villages, the characteristics of the country, and the impact of the environment on the population, plants and animals. It also presented the regions of the Earth known at that time, dividing them into seven regions and presenting the characteristics of each of them and its cities. This book also includes news of nations, biographies of scholars, writers, and sultans, and descriptions of whirlwinds, a flying dragon, a water fountain, and more.
