تحقيق ما للهند من مقولة مقبولة في العقل أو مرذولة لمؤلفه أبو الريحان البيروني، هو أهم وأوسع كتاب وصلنا في وصف عقائد الهندوسيين، فقد قضي 40 عاما في الهند يدرس شرائعهم وعاداتهم في أنكحتهم وأطعمتهم وأعيادهم، ونظم حياتهم، وخصائص لغتهم. ورأى فيه بروكلمان (أهم ما أنتجه علماء الإسلام في ميدان معرفة الأمم).

Translation

An investigation of whether India has a saying that is acceptable to the mind or rejected by its author, Abu al-Rayhan al-Biruni. It is the most important and extensive book we have ever come across in describing the beliefs of the Hindus. He spent 40 years in India studying their laws, their customs regarding marriage, their food, their holidays, their systems of life, and the characteristics of their language. Brockelmann saw in it (the most important thing produced by Islamic scholars in the field of knowledge of nations).
