هذا الكتاب لمصنفه ابن الجوزي يتناول موضوع الحج وشأنه، مبيناً فرائضه وأحكامه وأدبه، ومستعرضاً آداب السفر إلى مكة وكيفية التهيؤ للرحلة، مع ذكر بعض المنازل المشهورة على الطريق وقصص واقعية حدثت فيها. كما يشير إلى فضل الحج وسبب توق النفس إلى مكة، ويذكر بعض الأحاديث والأقوال المتعلقة بالحج.

Translation

This book, written by Ibn al-Jawzi, deals with the topic of Hajj and its context, explaining its obligations, rulings, and etiquette, and reviewing the etiquette of traveling to Mecca and how to prepare for the trip, mentioning some famous houses on the way and realistic stories that happened there. It also refers to the virtue of Hajj and the reason for the soul’s longing for Mecca, and mentions some hadiths and sayings related to Hajj.
