The book “Tuhfat al-Majalis fi Commentaries on the Index of Indexes” is a work in the science of narration and chain of transmission, compiled by the author as a commentary on the book “The Index of Indexes” by al-Kattani, at the request of his sheikh, Muhammad Yassin al-Fadani. The book includes corrections and clarifications to some of what was mentioned in the original book, such as correcting the names and dates of some of the memorizers and correcting their lineage to the centuries in which they lived. Through these comments, the author aims to serve those working in the science of narration and attribution.
