The book “Index of Ibn Atiyya” is a work in the field of indexes of books and evidence. It includes a list of the names of the sheikhs of the author Ibn Atiyya whom he met and narrated from, mentioning the knowledge and narrations that he learned from them. The book begins by presenting the author's lineage and his scientific career, then lists the names of the sheikhs from whom he learned in Andalusia and the Levant, such as Abu Othman Saeed bin Khalaf Al-Kalabi and Abu Al-Rabi' Suleiman bin Al-Rabi' Al-Qaisi, with reference to the books he examined and read to them, such as Al-Muwatta' and Al-Mudawwanah.
