هذا الكتاب هو مجموعة من المسائل الفقهية التي سُئل عنها الإمام أحمد بن حنبل، ورواها عنه ابنه عبد الله. يندرج الكتاب ضمن تصنيف الفقه الحنبلي، ويتناول أحكام الطهارة بشكل رئيسي، مبتدئًا بأبواب المياه وأحكامها من حيث التغير بالنجاسة والطهارة بها، ثم ينتقل إلى أحكام الوضوء والغسل والتيمم والحيض والاستحاضة. تعتمد مادته على صيغة السؤال والجواب، حيث يورد أسئلة وردت للإمام أحمد ويوثق إجاباته عنها.
Translation
This book is a collection of jurisprudential issues that Imam Ahmed bin Hanbal was asked about, and narrated by his son Abdullah. The book falls within the classification of Hanbali jurisprudence, and deals mainly with the rulings on purity, beginning with the chapters on water and its rulings in terms of change by impurity and purity therein, then moving on to the rulings on ablution, washing, tayammum, menstruation, and istihaadah. Its material is based on the question-and-answer format, as it presents questions asked by Imam Ahmad and documents his answers to them.
