الحاوي الكبير في فقه مذهب الإمام الشافعي للإمام أبي الحسن علي بن محمد بن حبيب الماوردي البصري (364 - 450هـ)، هو أحد أمهات كتب الفقه في المذهب الشافعي، ومن أهم كتب الشافعية وأشهرها، وهو شرح لمختصر المزني (المتوفى 264هـ)، ويعد هذا الكتاب موسوعة فقهية شاملة احتوت على أقوال كثير من علماء المذهب وغيرهم، يقول حاجي خليفة في كتابه «كشف الظنون»: «الحاوي الكبير في الفروع، للقاضي أبي الحسن علي بن محمد الماوردي البصري الشافعي، المتوفى سنة خمسين وأربعمائة. وهو كتاب عظيم، في عشر مجلدات، ويقال أنه ثلاثون مجلداً، لم يؤلف في المذهب مثله».

Al-Hawi Al-Kabir fi Jurisprudence of the Imam Shafi’i Doctrine by Imam Abu Al-Hasan Ali bin Muhammad bin Habib Al-Mawardi Al-Basri (364 - 450 AH), is one of the most important books of jurisprudence in the Shafi’i school of thought, and one of the most important and famous books of the Shafi’i school of thought. It is an explanation of the summary of Al-Muzani (d. 264 AH). This book is considered a comprehensive jurisprudential encyclopedia that contains the sayings of many scholars of the school of thought and others. Haji Khalifa says in his book “Kashf Al-Dhunoun”: “Al-Hawi Al-Kabir fi Al-Furoo’,” by Judge Abu Al-Hasan Ali bin Muhammad Al-Mawardi Al-Basri Al-Shafi’i, who died in the year four hundred and fifty. It is a great book, in ten volumes, and it is said that it is thirty volumes. Nothing like it has been written in the doctrine.
