The magnificent Gharar fi Sharh al-Bahja al-Wardiyya system by Imam jurist Zakaria al-Ansari al-Shafi’i (823-926 AH) is a comprehensive encyclopedic book in jurisprudence based on the Shafi’i doctrine. It is an explanation of the al-Bahja al-Wardiyya system by Ibn al-Wardi (d. 749 AH), in which the book al-Hawi al-Saghir by al-Qazwini (d. 665 AH) was composed. The Shafi'is paid great attention to this book, explaining, studying, and teaching, and they included a group of footnotes on it, the most important of which is: Footnote by Ibn Qasim al-Abadi (d. 944 AH).
