This is a book on the science of Arabization, and it is a footnote by Ibn Bari to Al-Jawaliqi’s book “What the Arabs Arabized of Non-Arab Speech.” The book examines foreign words that entered the Arabic language, and how the Arabs dealt with them through Arabization and substitution of letters. The author mentions which letters are prohibited in extraneous words and which are not, citing examples from the Holy Qur’an and the speech of the Arabs.
