مفاتيح العلوم هو كتاب موسوعي من تأليف العالم المسلم محمد بن أحمد الخوارزمي حيث وضع فيه جوابا عن الكثير من الأسئلة العالقة عند العرب وخاصة فيما يتعلق بالمصطلح خلال القرنِ التاسع المِيلادي. الكتاب ذكر في مقدمته مقالتين: إحداهما لعلوم الشريعة وما يقترن بها من العلوم العربية والثانية لعلوم العجم وغيرهم من الأمم التي سبقته.

Translation

Keys to Science is an encyclopedic book written by the Muslim scholar Muhammad bin Ahmed Al-Khwarizmi, in which he provided an answer to many of the outstanding questions among the Arabs, especially regarding the term during the ninth century AD. The book mentioned in its introduction two articles: one on the sciences of Sharia and the Arabic sciences associated with it, and the second on the sciences of the Persians and other nations that preceded it.
