This book, “The Encyclopedia of Birds and Animals in the Prophet’s Hadith,” by Abdul Latif Ashour, is considered a comprehensive encyclopedia in the field of animals and birds in Islam, as it combines language, nature, and noble hadiths. The book begins with an analysis of the hadiths related to animals, then moves on to studying each animal separately, from the camel, the rabbit, the wild animal, and the lion, and discusses their natures and characteristics, while directing attention to the noble hadiths related to them. The book highlights the importance of kindness to animals and compassion for them, and indicates that Islam preceded modern science in studying animals and directing attention to their observation.
