كتاب "العلل الواردة في الأحاديث النبوية" للإمام الدارقطني هو من أجلّ المصنفات في علم علل الحديث، وهو فن يبحث في الأسباب الخفية التي تقدح في صحة الحديث مع سلامة ظاهره. يضم الكتاب مجموعة كبيرة من الأحاديث النبوية التي سُئل عنها الدارقطني، مبينًا ما فيها من علل من حيث الإسناد والمتن، معتمدًا على منهج دقيق في النقد والتمييز بين الصحيح والمعلول. وقد جمع هذا الكتاب تلميذه البرقاني، وأضاف إليه أبو منصور ابن الكرخي، ليكون مرجعًا شاملًا في هذا الفن، حظي بثناء كبير من العلماء.

Translation

The book “The Reasons Contained in the Prophetic Hadiths” by Imam Al-Daraqutni is one of the best works in the science of the reasons for the hadith, and it is an art that searches for the hidden reasons that undermine the authenticity of the hadith despite the soundness of its apparent meaning. The book includes a large collection of prophetic hadiths that Al-Daraqutni was asked about, explaining the reasons for them in terms of chain of transmission and text, relying on a precise approach to criticism and distinguishing between the authentic and the incorrect. This book was compiled by his student Al-Barqani, and Abu Mansur Ibn Al-Karkhi added to it, to be a comprehensive reference on this art, which received great praise from scholars.
