The book “The Fabricated Benefits of Fabricated Hadiths” by Mar’i Al-Karmi, which is classified in the section on reasons and questions, deals with the issue of ruling on hadiths as fabricated, and shows the difficulty of doing so for later scholars due to their lack of collection of methods and frequent investigation, with reference to the scholars’ criticism of Ibn al-Jawzi’s expansion in his book “Al-Mawdoo’at” in ruling on fabricated hadiths that are not of such merit, and a warning against imitating him in that without scrutiny.
