The Questions of Muhammad bin Uthman bin Abi Shaybah by Ali bin Al-Madini is one of the books of jarh and ta’deel, written by Al-Hafiz Abu Jaafar bin Abi Shaybah (210 AH - 297 AH). The books of questions are what students transmit from the sheikhs of questions about jarh and ta’deel. They are mostly attributed to the one who asked them, and often go back to one imam. These questions were transmitted by Abu Jaafar bin Abi Shaybah from his sheikh, Ali bin Urban.
