كتاب "الحلم" لابن أبي الدنيا هو مصنف في الأخلاق والآداب الإسلامية، يجمع أحاديث نبوية وأقوال السلف والحكم والأشعار التي تحث على فضيلة الحلم والأناة، وتبين شرف الحليم عند الله وثوابه في الآخرة. يتناول الكتاب موضوعات متنوعة كالصبر على المكروه، وفضل السكوت عن السفيه، ووصايا لقمان والحكماء في التحلي بالحلم، مع إيراد الأدلة على أن الحلم زينة المرء وسبب للرفعة والسيادة.
Translation
The book “The Dream” by Ibn Abi Al-Dunya is a work on Islamic ethics and etiquette. It collects prophetic hadiths, sayings of the predecessors, wisdom, and poetry that urge the virtue of forbearance and patience, and explain the honor of the patient in the sight of God and his reward in the afterlife. The book deals with various topics, such as patience in the face of misfortune, the virtue of remaining silent over fools, and the commandments of Luqman and the sages regarding being forbearing, while providing evidence that dreaming is one’s adornment and a reason for elevation and sovereignty.
