Translation
The book “Punishments” by Ibn Abi Al-Dunya is a collection of hadiths and monuments that deal with the subject of divine punishments, their causes and types, reviewing stories from the Holy Qur’an about previous nations such as the people of Noah, Ad, Thamud, and Lot, in addition to news of the Children of Israel and others. The book aims to explain the consequences of disobedience and injustice, and to remind that God does not hasten the punishment, but rather gives time until the excuse is achieved.
