هذا كتاب يروي تفاصيل مقتل أمير المؤمنين علي بن أبي طالب عليه السلام، من تأليف ابن أبي الدنيا. يضم الكتاب فضائله ووصيته، وصفة غسله وتكفينه ودفنه، ويتناول قصة قاتله ابن ملجم، ومراثيه، ويذكر أولاده. يبدأ الكتاب بذكر نسبه وتاريخ مقتله وبيعته بالخلافة.
Translation
This is a book that narrates the details of the killing of the Commander of the Faithful, Ali bin Abi Talib, peace be upon him, written by Ibn Abi Al-Dunya. The book includes his virtues, his will, the recipe for his washing, shrouding, and burial, and deals with the story of his killer, Ibn Muljim, and his elegies, and mentions his children. The book begins by mentioning his lineage, the date of his death, and his pledge of allegiance to the caliphate.
