Al-Jinan phones

The book “Hawatif al-Jinan” by Ibn Abi al-Dunya is a collection of hadiths and narrations narrated with their chains of transmission, united by one topic, which is hearing unseen voices or “telephones.” The author divides his material into sections, and deals with what was reported about telephones related to graves, others related to supplication, and a third related to the jinn, beginning his book with prophetic hadiths about seeing King Gabriel and hearing his voice.
