كتاب "الصواعق المرسلة في الرد على الجهمية والمعطلة" لابن القيم هو مصنف في العقيدة الإسلامية، يرد فيه المؤلف على فرقتي الجهمية والمعطلة اللتين تنفيان صفات الله تعالى أو تؤولان نصوص الوحي. يبدأ الكتاب ببيان حقيقة التأويل لغة واصطلاحًا، ويفرق بين التأويل الصحيح والباطل، ثم يتناول بالتفصيل الأسباب التي تحمل على التأويل الفاسد، ويفند شبهات المخالفين التي جعلوها طواغيت يعتمدون عليها، كالقول بأن النصوص اللفظية لا تفيد اليقين، أو تقديم العقل على الوحي عند التعارض.

Translation

The book “The Thunderbolts sent in Response to the Jahmiyyah and the Muta’ilah” by Ibn al-Qayyim is a work on the Islamic faith, in which the author responds to the two sects of the Jahmiyyah and the Muta’ilah, which deny the attributes of God Almighty or interpret the texts of revelation. The book begins by explaining the truth of interpretation linguistically and terminologically, and distinguishes between correct and false interpretation, then addresses in detail the reasons that lead to corrupt interpretation, and refutes the suspicions of opponents that they have made tyrants rely on, such as saying that verbal texts do not benefit certainty, or prioritizing reason over revelation in the event of conflict.
