الفروسية المحمدية. كتاب للإمام العلامة أبي عبد الله محمد بن أبي بكر بن أيوب ابن قيم الجوزية، ألفه بعد ما وقع له امتحان من بعض علماء عصره بسبب ماكان يفتي به من عدم اشتراط المحلل في السباق والنضال، فاظهر الموافقة للجمهور إخمادا ودرءا للفتنة. فألف هذا الكتاب وأورد فيه مسألة اشتراط المحلل في السباق، واستوفى أدلة الفريقين، ثم أشار إلى من أنكر عليه هذا القول والإفتاء به، وأن سبب ذلك الركون إلى التقليد، ثم ذكر أحكام الرهن في مسائل كثيرة تتعلق بالرمي والسبق.

Translation

Equestrian Muhammadiyah. A book by the scholar, Imam Abu Abdullah Muhammad bin Abi Bakr bin Ayyub Ibn Qayyim Al-Jawziyyah, which he wrote after he was tested by some of the scholars of his time because of what he used to issue fatwas not stipulating that what is permissible in the race and struggle, so he showed approval to the public in order to quell and ward off strife. He wrote this book and mentioned in it the issue of stipulating the permissible condition in the race, and included the evidence of both groups, then he pointed out those who denied this opinion and the fatwa based on it, and that the reason for that was relying on imitation, then he mentioned the provisions of mortgage in many issues related to shooting and racing.
