رفع الملام عن الأئمة الأعلام. كتاب صنفه ابن تيمية، دل عنوانه على مضمونه؛ رفع الملام عن الأئمة الأعلام، ذكر فيه أسباب اختلاف أعلام الأمة في بعض فروع مسائل الفقه الإسلامي، وأن ذلك لا ينقص من قدرهم وقيمتهم، ولم يكن لهوىً في نفوسهم. وقد كان المحرض وراء كتابة هذا الكتاب هو الملامة التي كانت تصدر عن بعض الناس لبعض أعلام الأمة لمخالفتهم بعض أحاديث النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم. فكان هدف هذا الكتاب هو رفع تلك الملامة عنهم، وتبرير موقفهم. فكان لا بد من توضيح الأمر للناس، وأن تلك الملامة قولٌ باطل. ويختص ابن تيمية هنا أعلام الأمة، وليس أي طالب علم قد يخطأ ويتكرر منه الخطأ من نفسه. …

Lifting blame from eminent imams. A book compiled by Ibn Taymiyyah, whose title indicates its content. He removed the blame from the eminent imams, in which he mentioned the reasons for the disagreement of the nation’s eminent people in some branches of issues of Islamic jurisprudence, and that this does not detract from their value and worth, and was not a whim in their souls. The instigator behind writing this book was the blame that was coming from some people towards some of the nation’s notables for contradicting some of the hadiths of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. The goal of this book was to remove that blame from them and justify their position. It was necessary to clarify the matter to the people, and that this blame was false. Here, Ibn Taymiyyah specializes in the nation’s notable figures, and not any student of knowledge may make a mistake and repeat the mistake on his own. …
