هذا الكتاب لابن تيمية يتناول موضوع فضل أبي بكر الصديق رضي الله عنه، ويُعنى ببيان مناقبه وخصائصه التي انفرد بها عن غيره من الصحابة، مع المقارنة بين فضائله وفضائل علي بن أبي طالب رضي الله عنه. يعتمد المؤلف على الأحاديث النبوية لبيان أن أبا بكر هو أفضل الأمة بعد رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، ناقدًا ما يراه من أحاديث غير صحيحة أو غير صريحة في تفضيل غيره عليه.
Translation
This book by Ibn Taymiyyah deals with the subject of the virtue of Abu Bakr al-Siddiq, may God be pleased with him, and is concerned with explaining his virtues and characteristics that were unique to him from other companions, with a comparison between his virtues and the virtues of Ali bin Abi Talib, may God be pleased with him. The author relies on the Prophetic hadiths to show that Abu Bakr is the best of the nation after the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, criticizing what he sees as incorrect or not clear hadiths in preferring others over him.
