This book is the first part of the dictionary of the sheikhs of al-Hafiz al-Dumyati, and it is a manuscript on hadith science that is included in the books of hadith dictionaries. In it, the author lists the biographies of the sheikhs he met and heard from, arranged according to the letters of the dictionary, beginning with the chapter Alif. He mentions for each sheikh something from the heard hadith, benefits, or poetry, with an explanation of their classes, deaths, and the height of their chains of transmission.
