Sixth from the Dictionary of the Sheikhs of Damietta

Translation

This is the sixth part of the Dictionary of the Sheikhs of Al-Hafiz Al-Dumyati, which is a modern manuscript that includes the biographies of thirty-two of his sheikhs. It begins with the translation of Muhammad bin Ali bin Mahmoud and follows it with the translation of Muhammad bin Muhammad bin Rustam. In each translation, the author mentions the names of the sheikhs, their lineages, and their countries, then he cites the hadiths he heard about them with their connected chains of transmission, beginning by mentioning his first sheikh and the way he heard him from him.
