Proving the torment of the grave and asking the two angels

This is a book on the texts of hadith, compiled by Imam Abu Bakr al-Bayhaqi, which he devoted to proving the doctrine of the torment of the grave and the questioning of the two angels based on what was mentioned in the Sharia of Qur’anic verses, narrated reports, and the sayings of the nation’s predecessors, with a clarification of the permissibility of this according to reason in the power of God Almighty. The book deals with various topics related to the causes of the torment of the grave, such as gossip, urine, deceit, and religion, and what is hoped for in safety, such as bearing witness for the sake of God, reading Surah Al-Mulk, and death on Friday night, in addition to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, seeking refuge from the torment of the grave and his command to do so, and praying for the believer to be steadfast after burial.
